I 💚 what we’re building here 🙌🏻

Cards of appreciation from our kids and junior students is one of my favourite parts of the job. I suppose I had always hoped that they’d appreciate what I do, but it’s a real ‘pinch me’ moment when they bring in tangible evidence that Clarity brings them joy and occupies their thoughts even when they aren’t here.

It was surprisingly nostalgic retiring these OG training kits today…

These were the first custom Clarity no-gi training kits that we had for our OG members that were with us before we even had our HQ here in Osborne Park. Seeing these hanging on the wall is such a tangible reminder of how far our community has come in the last 3+ years. From laying out 36sqm of crappy jigsaw mats in a fitness club (shoutout Aspen Coaching | Movement Diversity for giving us a launchpad to start from) - to having our own HQ which is one of the most beautiful and welcoming training spaces in Perth. We’ve helped hundreds of people find a sense of Clarity over the past 3 years - from 4yo to 65+yo, and the community has given back tenfold.

I’m more motivated than ever to share the beautiful world of Jiu Jitsu and its life lessons with good people, Clarity will be a name that is synonymous with respect and admiration, both for our community but also our technical skills. Get on board or get out of our way.

Forever grateful for those members who believed in the vision before it was a reality, couldn’t have done it without you.

Stripes aren’t given at Clarity — they’re earned, one honest session at a time.

This week we’re recognising three of our people for adding to their white belts:

Rochelle — third stripe. Learning to make the game work for her frame, using leverage and technique over strength — exactly how it’s meant to be done.

Darragh — third stripe. Back to consistency after injuries slowed him down, and it’s showing. The mats reward showing up.

Sam — third stripe. Positions that used to feel like a puzzle are starting to make sense — that’s the moment it all clicks.

Progress like this is never built alone — it’s built with the people you train beside. Congratulations, all three of you. 🥋

Stripes aren’t given at Clarity — they’re earned, one honest session at a time.

This week we’re recognising three of our people for adding to their white belts:

→ Kat — first stripe. The first one always means the most; Kat stepped in on day one to support a friend and has been consistently challenging herself every week since.

→ Rikki — third stripe. Steady, consistent progress that’s getting hard to miss on the mats, he’s giving everyone problems.

→ Alex — fourth stripe. The last marker on the white belt before the blue belt conversation begins, he has come so far since the beginning.

Progress like this is never built alone — it’s built with the people you train beside. Congratulations, all three of you.
