Harmony with Horses
Harmony with Horses is an Equine Facilitated Learning Program.
EFL is a guided journey between horse and human, with my program aimed at youth, particular those living with a disability, to encourage social, mental and physical wellbeing and growth.

I have been fortunate enough to be generously donated these amazing books, with written poetry about the amazing brumbies living in Australia.
These books are aimed at educating children (and adults) about our country, the circle of life, Australian animals, and in particular, the beautiful brumbies that live in our Australian bushes, mountains and valleys.
I'm sure our horses would love if any of my future participants would like to read these books to them π I wonder how Harry would feel looking at the pictures of all the wild horses in their herds?

One of the coping strategies I found for myself, was an alternative therapy known as "grounding" or "earthing".
Our planet has amazing healing powers that we can harness with little effort and no cost.
Simple things such as walking barefoot, laying in a grass field, floating or submerging in the ocean, standing on a mountain just feeling the breeze against your skin.
Earthing is sadly under-researched, but the positive effects that have been found in studies include improve sleep, reduce anxiety and depression, reduce inflammation, reduce chronic pain, aid in repair of muscle damage and cardio vascular support.
There is scientific evidence regarding how grounding aids our bodies, but my personal experience comes down to the simplest of reasons - it made me feel better. The how, what, why, seemed irrelevant to me when I felt the changes inside me instantly.
Take some time out to connect with our planet
