UPDATED - It has been another record-breaking year in the SEZ and we thank all of our members and clubs for their fantastic support over the series. We are so lucky to have such good people and facilities in the region.

Melbourne GC hosted our carnival, and we needed all 7 layouts to get 172 shooters through the day before the sun went down. A very good effort by MGC committee as usual, something that we shouldn’t take for granted. A lot of work goes into preparing and running these massive events and the SEZ and Melb GC work well together.

Thank you to everyone that did that bit extra on the day without complaint. A special mention to Jen Crabbe for filling in as Shoot Marshall, assisted by Cranky McCall and Bianca Calvi, keeping the shoot offs rolling when Steve, Mark and Damo had to go and shoot.

It has also been a pleasure to see Mornington CTC back competing as a team in the zone and we appreciate their committee cancelling their own club shoot so their members could attend the carnival.

What about our juniors!!? How good are they? and they’re coming from everywhere. The support they get from our clubs is certainly paying off. Well done.

As we say every year “there are no easy wins in the South East Zone” which proved true once again on Saturday.
Congratulations to all the winners, you certainly had to work for it.

Congratulations to our ball trap team and SEZ entourage that made the long trip to Warrnambool this morning. It was a good day in tough windy conditions. The SEZ Ball Trap team won the state championship, Stu won O/A, Damo 2nd in AA and Shayne even pinched the meat tray in the raffle. Thank you Warrnambool CTC for making us feel so welcome.

Also happening this weekend. The SEZ Ball Trap team has had a couple of changes as they head to Warrnambool this Sunday to compete against the other zones. A busy weekend for them all.
