It's been a while since we've posted regularly but Playsports is very much still happening!
We've just finished up athletics, and are now starting basketball- so get ready for the next four weeks of bouncing, catching, passing, shooting, fast running feet and heaps of fun!

Playsports restarts from next Monday 19 January! Mon-Thur @ Tugun Park, Fri @ Silver Bridle Park, Molendinar. I have just enabled online bookings on our site. There are about 40 spots still available.

My baby is here! She is Layla. She arrived on 30 Nov. Mum and baby are both doing very well.

Thanks so much for all the messages of support. I’m sorry I haven’t got back to everyone. It’s been an intensive parenting couple of weeks.

We’ll have our last week of classes for the year next week. Please click ‘unable to attend’ on the portal if you can’t make it. I’ll have Christmas cards for the kids.

Playsporters! Big news to share. I’ve told most people currently in classes but for those who have just recently joined, my wife Sarah is just about ready to give birth to our daughter!

She is due 25 November so the plan is to run classes until baby arrives and then take a 2 week break. If all goes to schedule that means I’ll come back for one more week of classes (9-13 December) before breaking for our 4 week Christmas break.

I’ll email sms and post to socials to let you know if I need to cancel classes earlier.

Do you love working with kids and have a passion for sports? We’re looking for a couple of superstar coaches to join our team. $40 per hour, 3-4 hour shifts.

🏃‍♀️ WHAT WE DO 🏃‍♀️
We run fun, play-based sports programs for 2-5 year olds, focused on building confidence, social skills, and motor skills. Our sessions take place in public parks across the Gold Coast and we teach 8 different sports.

🌟 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 🌟
- Empathetic, energetic people with a love for working with young kids
- Passionate about teaching and helping kids grow through play
- Able to work 3-5 mornings a week (approx. 8am-12pm)
- Experience in sports, fitness or working with children is a big plus
- Reliable, consistent coaches looking for longer-term employment.
- Current paid Blue Card and own transport

📝 WHAT YOU’LL DO 📝
- Set up and run fun, interactive sessions (Training and ongoing coaching support provided)
- Teach basic motor and social skills through games
- Create a safe and encouraging environment for kids to thrive
-Make kids laugh, learn and build lasting memories with their friends.

Hello out there! It’s been a while. If you’ve wondered whether Playsports still exists - we do! This year has been so full I have completely neglected posting anything. It’s a little daunting to be honest.

So much is happening. We currently have 217 2-5 year old legends smashing sport every week. Most classes are at capacity. My own kid though, who is nearly 3, refuses to play! 😑 He is here to humble me.

We’ve just launched UDIO - our new booking system which is live on our site showing all our availability! It’s amazing. Up until now I have managed all our bookings in Google Sheets. Which was great… up to a point. And then it became a nightmare.

We have 20 or so spots still free (mainly 3-4 year olds) so if you are looking for something then please check our site and come join the action.

I have plans for more locations and coaches in the coming months. And hopefully more socials posts! This has been fun. Should make it a regular thing or something.

And Sarah who gives her all caring for our little man Finn. She is an inspiration. The most enthusiastic book reader, epic block builder, car racer, bo**er wiper, comforter, teacher.
