🔴U14 BOYS — WE NEED YOU!🔵

Our U14 Boys have always been one of our strongest and most successful teams, full of incredible talent, dedicated team officials and, most importantly, a great group of young men and families.

Our boys finished the 2025 season as U13 Premiers, and we want to see this team back on the field together this season.

Following changes to the competition and the introduction of the Lightning Cup, we unfortunately saw a number of players and families step away from rugby. We know we aren’t the only club now working hard to rebuild our numbers, and we hear the concerns from families loud and clear.

The biggest question we keep receiving is:

“Will there be a team?”

And the answer really comes down to our players and families.

If every player who has contacted us asking whether there will be a team registered and committed to playing, we would have more than enough players.

We are doing everything within our means to recruit. We have an amazing coach, manager and team of volunteers ready to support these boys, now we need our players to get behind them.

So if you’ve been sitting on the fence or waiting to see whether others register, please don’t wait. Register, commit and help us get this team onto the field.

And this message doesn’t just apply to our U14 Boys. It applies across our junior and senior grades.

Community sport only works when the community gets behind it.

Help us grow the game.
Help us grow our teams.
Help us grow our rugby community.

🐊 PROUD CROCS LIFE MEMBERS 🐊
Palmerston Rugby Union Club is incredibly proud to recognise two of our Life Members, Craig "Squirter" Leach and Robert “Robbie” Taylor, for their outstanding contribution to NT Rugby.
🏉 Craig Leach represented the NT more than 55 times, captained the Territory across multiple seasons and famously led the NT to a 17–16 victory over Scotland in 1992. Craig also played an incredible 400+ A Grade games for the Crocs.
🏉 Rob Taylor has refereed 150+ NTRU A Grade matches, along with countless senior, women’s and junior games. His commitment to mentoring and developing the next generation of NT referees has also made a lasting impact on our game.

Just a friendly reminder returning players have until COB this Friday to register before registrations open to the public.

🐊 2026/27 SEASON IS FAST APPROACHING!

Junior families who were registered with the crocs during the 2026 season should have received an email from the club regarding the upcoming season. Please check your spam and junk folders if you haven’t seen it.

We have also shared this information within our age-grade group chats.

🔴 REGISTRATIONS – RETURNING FAMILIES ONLY

Please note that registrations are currently open to RETURNING FAMILIES ONLY.

Any registrations received from new players/families will be placed on hold until registrations officially open to the public on Friday, 28 August 2026.

We appreciate your understanding while we give our returning Crocs families the opportunity to secure their places for the upcoming season.

🔵 U5s & U7s

Our U5s and U7s participate in Rugby Australia’s Get Into Rugby program registrations are open.

To help keep costs down for our youngest Crocs, we’ve reduced the usual club fee from registration.

Player kits can instead be purchased separately for $100, which includes:

• Club polo
• Player shorts
• Socks
• Special PRUC item

⚡ LIGHTNING CUP PLAYERS – U13 & ABOVE

Players who were fully registered and participated in the Lightning Cup from January to March 2026 have an existing player registration that remains valid through until April 2027.

We kindly ask these families to confirm via email by Friday, 28 August if your player will be returning for the upcoming season. This will help us accurately plan team numbers and determine available spots within each age grade.

If your player requires a new player kit, these can be purchased at the club house during training.

We are working through and processing vouchers as they come through. Please allow us a few days to get these sorted, as our volunteers are completing this work outside of their usual business hours. 😊
