We are an active group of almost 40 men and women, committed to community service within Australia and overseas, while at the same time having fun.

Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million people who take action to create lasting change Our Rotary Club was chartered in 1990 on the 25th August. The sponsor club was the Rotary Club of Merimbula Inc. Our club is known as “the little club with big heart” as we have carried out some very big projects over the last 10 years such as the Pambula Skate Park and the multi-million dollar Pambula Swimming Complex and helping build and organise Carer’s Accommodation at the new South East Regional Hospital. With almost 40 members like hands on projects which seems to have attracted a lot of members. We recently took over the maintenance of the Pambula Village roundabout, re invigorating it with new plants, removal of old ones and making it safer for both pedestrians and car users. Our membership is very close to 50-50 male-female which we are very proud of.

No...not a council worker (he, he 😃), but one of the Rotary Club of Pambula members out weeding and watering(we desperately need rain) the roundabout this morning.
For those who love the smell of lavender flowers, please come on down this week and take as many cuttings as you want. The plants are impinging on the vision of car indicators so we must reduce there height.
Don't be afraid to take some as they will be cut back for safety reasons.

Well, our first Spring market for Rotary was a huge success. The weather turned on a treat, although the Pambula RFS team who where there, would be happier if it rained a little(overnight).
After all the rubbish bins are emptied, stall holders packed up and the kiosk cleaned, the next job is to count all the coins and notes the wonderful people place in the collection bins when they enter.
This lot is from the front well and totalled over $700 and this along with all donations to Rotary, they go to worthy causes.
For example the terrible floods in Nepal-China, the Pambula Rotary club through monies like donated today, purchased a Shelterbox to help those displaced by the disaster.
So remember every coin helps someone else when you drop a coin(or note) in the money well.

Pat de Gelder joined us in the kiosk at our markets today ... our newest 'Friend of Rotary' ... happy to lend a helping hand and were very happy to have her 😍. Not so happy to be saying goodbye to Rotarian Sally Chamberlain though ... Sally's last market before she moves interstate later this month. Sally had been a wonderful contributor to our Club as Secretary, regular kiosk & working bee volunteer and lead organiser for events like the Action Day against Family Violence. Thank you for everything Sally .... wishing you well with your next adventure 🎉

The Roundabout crew have been at it again this morning ... a glorious sunny day made for gardening!! Thanks heaps to our hard working volunteers and to Wild Rye for supporting the crew at the end of the session. We'll be at the Pambula Cemetery next Sunday ... anyone who can wrangle a whipper snipper, push a mower or ride a mower please feel welcome to come and join the working bee ... 🐝☘️🌸

FREE skin checks, health checks, haircuts, beauty treatments and a safe space to talk are coming to Goulburn, the Eurobodalla and the Bega Valley in August, thanks to COORDINARE’s partnerships with health and community service providers.

Flickerfest Short Film Festival in again in Merimbula on Fri 10 July and Saturday 11 July. See the poster for details.
Flickefest is a fund raiser for the Pambula Rotary club.
Unfortunately Brad Pitt, Barbra Streisand, Lady Ga Ga, Al Pacino, Johnny Depp and Emma Watson are unable to attend.
So how about stepping out and watch some wonderful movies.

It's always great to see how our Club fundraising efforts make a difference in our local community 🎉. Part of the proceeds from our Annual Charity Golf Day has funded the purchase of two Syringe Drivers to support the Palliative Care service at Pambula District Hospital. Rotary is always proud to support our local hospital 🥰
