Dom Musci has done a fantastic job with this squad after taking the team two weeks before the season started.

Credit also to the players who have performed extremely well all season, applied pressure to the first team, won the minor premiership and now will compete for our 4 senior trophy of the year!!!

Pontian Eagles SC are delighted to announce Bill Nastou as our senior assistant coach for the 2027 season.

Having spent many years coaching young men in the SL1 and NPL competitions with the Football South Australia competitions, Bill steps up to senior coaching department where his skills of working with younger, senior players is his forte. We have a young team of talented players that Bill, together with senior head coach Yianni Stama, and other coaches yet to be announce, will work and continue to develop.

CITY OF SALISBURY SPORTS AWARDS 2026

Last night Terry Kalaitsidis won the “Lifetime Achievement Award”

Since 2002, became part of the club as a volunteer and then joined the committee in 2003 and became president in 2007
From supporter to volunteer to committee member to president and all the roles that come with them: cleaning changerooms, washing kits, raising funds, organizing teams, team managers, controlling supporters, cooking bbq's. managing players on interstate trips, dealing with the council, etc
His first on field success came in 2006, followed by another in 2007 when we won the league in Div 3 and then Div 2, achieving promotion to Div 1 in the SAASL Sunday competition—the first time the club ever played at that level
He managed to get the side from SAASL to the FSA in 2020 and massive step for the club
In 2024 the club got promoted into SL1 yet another first...
Off field - He managed to negotiated the clubs move from Ridley Grove to Ferryden Park and then to Yalumba Reserve where we are very proud to call home and cannot thank the support of the City of Salisbury enough.
He has introduced juniors and womens team to our club and at the end of last year 2025 we had a then record number of junior players at Pontian Eagles
Pontian Eagles is known in football circles because of Terry. He did everything for his club, Family functions were either put on hold or held at the club because that's where Terry always wanted to be. As a resident of the City Of Salisbury he was always seen int he area with a Pontian Tracksuit or hoodie on, having a coffee and having a discussion about football and the Pontians. It didn't matter where the Pontians played terry was always there
He has left the club in a totally different position than when he started. 3 senior mens teams in the FSA, a couple of senior womans team, over 10 junior teams, a club that has new changerooms and club rooms. But its his "Respect All Fear None" motto that he implemented at the club is one thing that will remain as a lasting legacy at Pontian Eagles.

Thanks to the City of Salisbury, SA, Australia for this award, for all their support to the Pontian Eagles and for this initiative in acknowledging all the sporting clubs in the council area, the extraordinary volunteers and members that put in hours of blood sweat and tears into their local clubs

The Pontian Eagles SC is inviting expressions of interest for both coaches and players at various levels, wanting to be part of the club in 2027 as we look forward to the challenge of State League 1 football.

Players and Coaches are being asked to complete the expression of interest form and the club will reach out with trail dates and times, as well as make time to meet with potential coaches

Pontian Eagles Soccer Club would like to announce that our championship winning coach, Omar Hassan has decided not to continue coaching in 2027.

The club was looking forward and excited to continuing our partnership and build on Omar‘s success and amazing work during season 2026, but he has decided that the time is right to step down.

The club has nothing but admiration, praise and gratitude for Omar and his coaching team. He will go down as only the 2nd senior coach in our clubs’ history, to win a SL2 title and gain promotion to SL1.

We thank Omar and his staff for a magnificent, remarkable and memorable 2026.

The club will now work towards finding a replacement and work towards building on our success for 2027

Respect All, Fear None

We started in November 2025. After 10 months of rebuilding the team, dedicated hard work, unity, determination and brave football we have been crowned the 2026 SL2 Champions.

To all of our supporters, THANK YOU for cheering us on through our ups and downs. Your support was key to our success and we look forward to your continued support in SL1.

To our playing squad, you are all astounding men first and foremost which was key to this seasons’ success. Your football talents and unity was reflected in every training session and every game. Thank you all as you all contributed to our success.

To our coaching and support staff, thank you all for building the culture and unity within the playing group. Regardless of the challenges faced, you all managed to guide these men to the SL2 North Premiership and then to SL2 Champions and promotion to SL1. The hardwork during the season and time invested in the squad has produced the ultimate reward.

We now turn our focus to our Reserves team. SL2 North Reservers Premiership has been won. Now we support them in their quest for the SL2 Championship.
