Sunday 20th September

5 paddlers today on an absolutely beautiful morning to take the 10s boat out.
We explored up the creek and then did a perimeter of the lake, recovered a life buoy (yet again) and enjoyed the tranquillity and birdlife.
We ended off the morning with a cuppa and sweet snack (from our hamper of Forbes Trivia winnings😎). Well done crew!

Saturday 19th September - Dirty Dish Goodness Gravel event catering

Today 6 members of PDBC volunteered to cater for +- 200 mountain bike riders out at Alectown - Fana Beag wedding venue.
We had a busy morning with a constant stream of riders arriving back to base over 4 hours - all hungry and thirsty.... We were entertained by the very talented Noah Dorin all day which created a great vibe in the shade of the undercover area.

Thank you to Parkes Shire Council for inviting us to do this as a fund-raiser for our club.

PDBC will be catering for the Goodness Gravel - Dirty Dish cycling event this Saturday. No paddling on Saturday but we're hoping to be on the water Sunday morning at 9am for a paddle..

Sunday 13th September - 1st paddle of the new season

8 paddlers today - a slow start to our season with many members away enjoying the beautiful weather...

We welcomed Kassidy into the boat today - she's a natural! Having paddled during a team day session earlier this year, Kassidy knew what she was in for and boy did she give it a go today!

20 odd black swans were cruising around the lake, and we recovered 2 of the life rings from the jetty that had drifted across the lake into the reeds.

Training days are normally Saturday afternoon at 2pm, for 2:30pm on the water.

Saturday 18th July - come on down to Parkes Mitre 10 and grab a yummy sausage sandwich and a sweet treat or two (GF options are very popular)... all so good you may want to get more than one..
