Netball Victoria

Netball is more than a game. It creates connection, belonging and opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

That’s the idea behind Netball Victoria and Melbourne Vixens Community Support. Backed by the generosity of supporters, clubs, associations and members, it helps more Victorians stay in the game.

Individual grants are part of Community Support, and they can go towards things like membership fees, club fees, uniforms and coach or umpire accreditations. Eligibility criteria apply, so if financial pressure is making it difficult to stay involved, have a look at the details and apply.

If you’d like to help more people experience the benefits of netball, donations are tax-deductible through the Australian Sports Foundation.

Over the past 12 months, Netball Victoria has continued to turn the commitments of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan into action.

From strengthening First Nations pathways into high performance, to supporting First Nations coaches and building cultural capability across our organisation, meaningful progress has been made across all levels of the game.

This has included the continued development of the Victorian First Nations State Team, expanded talent identification opportunities through community programs, culturally relevant coaching opportunities and greater visibility of First Nations culture across our competitions.

Our Melbourne Vixens and Victorian Netball League clubs have played an important role too, using First Nations Round as an opportunity to celebrate culture, storytelling, connection and respect across the sport.

Reconciliation is an ongoing journey, and we remain committed to building stronger relationships with First Nations communities and creating a netball environment where First Nations athletes, coaches, umpires, leaders and communities feel seen, heard, respected and valued.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens are proud to stand with everyone impacted by breast cancer 💗

Through our community partnership with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), Melbourne Vixens game days and ongoing awareness initiatives, we’re proud to help shine a light on breast cancer and the importance of supporting those affected.

With an average of 56 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer every day, it’s important that we continue to raise awareness, strengthen community connections and use the power of netball to bring people together.
