Another enjoyable Trevor Dancer Memorial Australia Day round robin today. A well organised event patiently run by Patrick White. Who was playing who and where was at times lost on players and repeated a few times 😁
Runner up this year was Michael White with John Knights deserved winner of The Trevor Dancer Memorial Trophy . Thank you also to chef Rodney and gofor Tim.

With thanks to Patrick White we had another enjoyable Trevor Dancer Memorial round robin on Australia Day. A tough day of tennis played in the best sporting spirit. The trophy this year is shared between Jason Vocala and Nick Harrington. Congratulations guys.

We have now hit the hot weather which drys the courts out very quickly. For this reason it is essential the courts are well watered before play and every 30min or after each set bag and water well again. If you tend to be kicking up quite a bit of dust,this means the courts are now exceptionally dry and need a lot of water. Watering is very important for 2 reasons.
Player welfare:- the courts become very slippery which could lead to injuries.
Court welfare:- the surface becomes dusty and will blow away on the first windy day. This will cause courts to be closed for repairs.

In case you are wondering, most courts closed till after lunch. Those with morning bookings please check your email.
