Steph Norton will return to lead our 23 & Under side for a third consecutive season.

With back-to-back finals campaigns, and a VNL title, with the group, we’re keen for that success to continue.

A third season is locked in for Sarah Mylrea, returning as Head Coach of our Championship side.

Following a foundational first two years, the vision is clear for what’s next.

Tegan Hopkins return as our Director of Netball.

It’s the third year at the helm for Tegan, who will continue to oversee the delivery of the club program and elevating our coaching performance.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Melbourne University Lightning’s Championship side winning its inaugural Victorian Netball League title.

Not only are they legends of the club, but members of this team also have gone on to much success within and beyond the world of netball.

It was wonderful to have Elissa Kent, Maddie Stewart and Maddy Fitzgerald (née Carter) in attendance at the 2026 Lightning Awards to speak to the culture, mindset and people that made that Lightning team so special.
