A new chapter for MUBC! 📚

We’re incredibly excited to officially announce the launch of our Youth League Women’s program, which will compete in the VBL (formerly Big V) Youth League Women’s competition in 2027! 👏👏

Leading the way will be Michelle Carnegie, who joins MUBC as our inaugural Youth League Women’s Head Coach. 🏀🏀

Most recently serving as an Assistant Coach in the Knox VYCW program, Michelle has a strong background in both coaching and playing, bringing over 15 years of experience across several Big V Youth & Senior Women’s divisions. Her experience and understanding of the pathway make her an exciting choice to lead this new program from the ground up. 🔥

The launch of Youth League Women represents an important step forward for MUBC and our commitment to creating a strong, sustainable pathway for female athletes to continue their development into senior basketball, serving as a stepping stone to our VBL Championship Women’s program. ✅

And now, it’s time to build the team! 👀

Stay tuned for our 2027 Youth League Women’s tryout announcement, with tryouts commencing in early October. Register your interest here (link in bio): https://forms.gle/8k9H5w35PN6bxf9H9

We can’t wait to see this program take the court for the first time. Welcome to MUBC, Michelle! 🙏

We’re excited to announce that Andrew Walker will return as Head Coach of our Youth League One Men’s program for the 2027 season! 🏀

Coach Walker’s return to MUBC in 2026 saw the program enjoy its best-ever season in Youth League One Men, finishing 5th on the ladder and setting a new benchmark for the program. 🔥🔥

With that foundation now firmly in place, we’re thrilled to have Andrew continuing to lead the team into 2027.

A Life Member of MUBC and a coach with a long and successful history across the Big V/VBL, Andrew brings invaluable experience and connection to the wider club.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for our Youth League Men under Coach Walker. 🏀💙

07/09/2026

We’re excited to announce that Matt Foster will take the reins of our Championship Men’s program! 🏀

Matt joins MUBC following an outstanding tenure as Head Coach of the Hume City Championship Men, where he established a consistently successful program. 🏆 Under his leadership, Hume City finished in the top four every season and reached the Grand Final on three occasions. 🔥

That remarkable level of success has established Matt as one of the leading coaches in Big V, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to MUBC. 💙

We look forward to seeing Matt build on the foundations of our Championship Men’s program as we enter an exciting new chapter. 🚀

Welcome to MUBC, Matt! Bring on 2027! 🏀
