Fun morning on our 4 hour Estuary & Coffee Eock trip for a wonderful family group. Kids had a blast and they caught plenty of fish and even a few keepers! Beautiful weather to top off the morning sun☀️

As you can appreciate, we can only take 1 deckhand candidate at a time for a trial. Opportunities will be provided in the order in which we received expressions of interest. Please be patient with us while we assess and find the right person for the position.

We are looking for the right person to join our crew as a Deckhand.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is willing to work weekends
• Willing to learn our operation & the way we do things
• Is consistent and reliable
• Has a strong work ethic
• Is a genuine people person
• Has a good understanding of fish size limits
• Has their own reliable transport
• Has passion, initiative and attention to detail
• Is fit and healthy and able to be on their feet for extended periods
• Is a non-smoker, at least while on board
• Is a non-drinker, at least while on board
• Is drug-free

Let's make one thing clear...

**This is NOT a cruisy way to get free fishing trips.**

In the nicest possible way, we aren't particularly interested in how many fish you've caught, what your biggest fish was, or how many times you've been offshore. **We've heard the fish stories. 😂**

We are looking for someone who wants to work and become a professional, reliable and highly capable deckhand.

We are prepared to put the time and effort into the right person and train you in our systems and operation so you can become the best possible deckhand you can be.

🎣 What does the job involve?

As our Deckhand, you will not be fishing. Your job is to look after the customers and the deck.

Duties will include:

• Bait management
• Unhooking fish
• Tying rigs
• Serving food and drinks
• Cleaning and maintaining the vessel
• Fish counting and measuring
• Marking fish
• Ganging hooks
• Tackle preparation
• Re-spooling reels
• Pre-trip preparation
• Post-trip wash down and pack-up
• Assisting the skipper and keeping the day running smoothly

We operate 7 days a week, weather and passenger numbers permitting, with our busiest days generally being **Thursday through Sunday**.

A full-time position is available for the right person.

Another 7 hour offshore trip today. Fresh winds chopping up the ocean but no big ground swell so comfortable fishing on anchor. A few went down to sea sickness today but we managed a feed 🎣

Excellent 7 hour offshore trip today for a group booking. Plenty of fish caught throughout the day and a solid mixed feed of keepers including two quality cobia. A few sharks gave us a touch up but always need to pay your taxes I guess 🫡 🦈

Departing Pelican Waters Marina at 5:30am

A few hungry squire on our 5 hour offshore trip this morning. Small group of guests managed a nice feed and a couple of larger fish floated up on ball sinkers added to the catch 🐟

Fishing was slow for the inshore trip this afternoon. Beautiful conditions and fish to keep the lines busy but snagging a keeper was tough going! 🎣
