Weekly Affirmation ππ
I release stress in my body with every exhaled breath.
A big week ahead. I'll be prioritising taking time to myself and to focus on having a minute to focus on my breath in any moments I'm not feeling myself. Happy Monday everyone πβΊ
Supta Baddhakonasana (Reclined butterfly pose) π¦ is one of my favourites! It stretches and opens your shoulders groin and chest. Reclined butterfly also has a calming effect on any tension or stress, making it the perfect asana to spend a little extra time in after a big day βΊπ
I spent a lot of today hunched over a computer so after my practice I spent 10 minutes holding this listening to Vance Joy and I have ZERO regrets π
I've spent some time off my mat the last couple of weeks and this audio represents what I was thinking the whole time π to good not to share!

After being away I'm finally getting back into routine, it was so nice to be back in the .mayamovement studio last night with all the colours and vibes π
I don't normally use my phone before class but I couldn't help myself! My favourite pose and a colourful wall is photo worthy πΈ π
Legs up the wall is perfect for a gentle hamstring stretch, taking pressure off the lower back and feet, not to mention it helps calm the nerves and relax your mind. Perfect for a pre class set up βΊπ

Just like so many others, I absolutely love this island. I was meant to be here just days after all international boarders were closed because of π¦ -19. It's where I planned to come and escape the reality of what was happening in my life.
During these 2 and a half years I have learnt so much about myself and how to deal with situations that arise. I don't at all reflect on those times and feel sad or angry. I am so grateful for everything because without it I may not have found yoga, I may not have learnt to deal with the uncomfortable, live in the now and just maybe I wouldn't be who I am today.
I'm not running from anything back at home anymore. But for the first time in a long time I'm coming home excited!
