The 2026 Matchplay Championship final was played on Saturday and congratulations to our 2026 Matchplay Champion Josh Scott who took out the 36 hole final on Saturday 6/5 over Mark Hagger. Well done Josh on a great performance and in taking out your first major singles event at the club - great stuff.

In the graded events, the A Reserve was won by Mat (Flash) Flanagan who defeated Ian Dunn 7/6, the B Grade title was claimed by Wayne Hogben over Tim Kelly 3/1, whilst C Grade was won by Paul Turvey over Michael Bianchi on the 19th hole. Well done Flash, Wayne and Paul.

These are also displayed at various places around club and proshop.

Major changes include:
• Concrete Pathways - relief now JUST the pathways themselves,
• Compulsory GUR on new section of green on front on 10th green - considered part of green,
• Compulsory GUR new turf on fairways,
• Rear of 18th green in play, carpark is Out of Bounds.

Remember, relief from any GUR/Abnormal Course Condition is NEAREST point of FULL relief, not the nicest point.

2026 Captain Bowl

The Captains Bowl for 2026 is now past the half way point.

This is a competition for Juniors who are under 18 years of age as at the start of the competition on 1 December each year.

The Captains Bowl runs in conjunction with the Monthly Medal from December 25 to November 26 with points are awarded in each Monthly Medal based on players nett score and the winner of the bowl is the player with the most accumulated points over the year.

Points are awarded as follows:

1 point for competing in each Monthly medal,
3 points for the leading Junior of each Monthly Medal based on nett score,
2 points for the 2nd placed Junior, and
1 point for the 3rd placed Junior.

The Medal of Medals season is more than half way through. This runs between November 2025 and October 2026.

The Medal of Medals winner for the season is the member who has won a medal across the above months and is the player with lowest nett score amongst the medal winner in the November 26 monthly medal.
