Want to be an Emu in 2027? Get in touch! Penrith Rugby Club was established in 1965 and played for many years in the Sydney Sub District competitions.

After playing for several years in the 2nd Division of the Sydney Premiership we were then promoted to 1st Division in 1995 named the Shute Shield. In 2021, Penrith Rugby successfully joined the John I Dent Competition, a premier rugby competition played with teams from Southern NSW and ACT, Canberra. We have two senior teams, one COLTS (U20) team, and a Women's team. We are active in promoting rugby in the Penrith Valley region and as well as providing development at all levels.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Life Member and Foundation Club President, Jim Mason OAM.

Jim played an important part in the foundation and history of our club, and his contribution will always be remembered.

Our thoughts are with Jim’s family, friends and all those who knew him. We will share further details regarding Jim’s funeral and arrangements as they become available.
