A big thank you to all of our members who attended the 3D shoot yesterday. We had a great turn out of members along with some new attendees who expressed interest in joking our club.
A special thank you to all of those who helped setting up and packing down all of the targets, gazebos and BBQ area and to those who cooked on the day for 40+ people.
All of the help was much appreciated and allowed us to finish on time with a great share of effort from everyone.
We hope to see you all again in December.

Deer hunting in Victoria is getting better and better.
2024 Figures released by the GMA shows hunters harvested over 167,000 deer, an amazing result well above the year-on-year average.
This doesn't happen organically, results like this hinges on 2 factors: access to public land and the game status of deer on public land.
We fight hard to protect those factors and hunters, the environment and economy reap the benefit with no expense to the taxpayer.
More information can be found via the Victorian Hound Hunters VHH, Australian Deer Association and SSAA Victoria

Hunters doing a great job in Victoria.
The 2024 deer harvest report for Victoria is now available. 🦌
The report estimates 167,600 deer were harvested in 2024. This is a 22% increase on the estimated deer harvest in 2023 and an 83% increase on the long-term average (91,100).
The most commonly harvested deer species was Sambar, with an estimated harvest of 128,000 or 76% of the harvest.
In 2024, there were more than 52,000 licensed recreational deer hunters in Victoria, of which 50% actively hunted. On average, active deer hunters harvested an estimated 6.4 deer over 13.5 days.
For a summary of the findings, visit https://shorturl.at/b68KJ or view the full report at: https://shorturl.at/wCix7
Thank you to all the deer hunters who participated in this research.
This information helps build a stronger understanding of deer harvest trends and hunting activity in Victoria.
