THE GLOW CHALLENGE!

It's here! We are going to start 2022 off with a bang but jumping straight into an 8 week challenge!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The purpose of this challenge IS NOT just weight loss or a physical transformation. This challenge is to help you kickstart your health & fitness goals, build healthy habits that you can carry forward into the rest of the year and get into a positive routine with training, nutrition and mindset.

I don't recommend participating in this challenge if you:
- are currently pregnant or recently post partum
- have an injury that is not managed by a health professional
- have an illness that can affect exercise
- have not been cleared to exercise by your GP

I QUIT!!

Yesterday was my last day as a personal trainer at 😱
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The past 2 years have been an incredible experience. If you had told me 5 years ago that I would’ve got a job as a personal trainer I would’ve laughed in your face 🤣 I’m so grateful to every single person I’ve met along the way!

Firstly, to my clients - you are the reason this decision was so so hard. I’m so grateful to each and everyone of you. I am so proud of every single person I have trained in the last 2 years and I thank you for letting me be part of your journey. I’ve made the most amazing connections and there truly is nothing better than watching you all reach your goals and change not only physically, but mentally as well.

Do you have a positive mindset when it comes to your health and fitness goals?

I often find lots of people have an 'all or nothing' way of thinking. Which often results in them cutting certain foods/food groups out and being super strict with their diet, but then rebounding and saying "f**k it" when something doesn't go exactly to plan.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is often the reason that people never end up reaching their goals - they're stuck in a restrict-rebound cycle which is not healthy at all.

Garlic & Chilli Chicken Noodles
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These are so delicious and such a huge portion considering how low calorie they are!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5 serves: 396 calories 31.5P 58.7C 2.8F
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients:
500g chicken breast
1 packet thin egg noodles (i used coles brand)
200g cabbage
4 spring onions
2 tbs white rice vinegar
2 tbs brown sugar
3 tbs soy sauce
5 gloves garlic
spices: paprika, chilli powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and sesame seeds
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Method:
1. dice your chicken breast and then coat in 1 tsp each of cayenne pepper, paprika and garlic granules then set aside
2. Mix together your sauce: soy sauce, white vinegar, brown sugar, finely diced garlic and 1 tsp each of chilli powder, paprika, garlic powder and sesame seeds.
3. In a pan, cook chicken breast until browned, then remove and set aside.
4. To the pan add cabbage and spring onion, put your noodles on to cook according to packet (undercook slightly before adding to pan).
5. Add sauce to the pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Then add in chicken and noodles - stir to combine.

Zambrero chicken burrito w/ chipotle sauce = 857 calories

Homemade burrito = 690 calories
without sauce = 597 calories

Ingredient breakdown for homemade version:
- low carb wrap = 131 cal
- 100g pulled chicken = 115 cal
- 25g light cheese = 68 cal
- 100g refried beans = 89 cal
- 75g corn = 52 cal
- 50g jasmine rice = 74 cal
- homemade pico de gallo (see my page for ingredients) = 13 cal
- 30ml sour cream = 55 cal
- 20 ml chipotle sauce = 93 cal
