Meet your Dare to Dream Director: Michelle Meschiati ✨

Michelle Meschiati spent her childhood dancing and singing around Perth, and was trained by Maria Gangemi. She begun teaching at 15 which is where her passion begun. In 2002 she became director of Silhouette Dance Studio. During this time she has trained thousands of students and provided opportunities for her students to grow through examinations, competitions and performances. In 2006 Michelle became an examiner for the Asia Pacific Dance Association. In 2019 Michelle opened a second branch of Silhouette Dance Studio allowing for further development of Musical Theatre at the studio. Michelle has thoroughly enjoyed directing Dare To Dream working with Sophie and Simonne throughout the process. She is so excited to be able to offer an avenue for her students to grow as triple threat performers. She in incredibly proud of each student and excited to see them shine today 🫶🏻🙌🏻

Meet your Director of Six (Teen Edition)
Sophie Psaila-Savona 🌟

Sophie is a Perth-based Musical Theatre performer, dancer and teacher who has completed an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts, majoring in Dance and Musical Theatre.

Sophie has performed professionally across Perth, including at Crown Theatre in productions such as Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Boy from Oz and We Will Rock You. Most recently, she has performed in Drew Anthony’s Saturday Night Fever, A Chorus Line and Spamalot the Musical, as well as frequently performing in various gigs and productions around Perth.

Sophie has a strong passion for teaching the next generation of performers! From building their confidence and developing their characters to seeing them support one another and come together as an ensemble, the kids have brought so much energy, enthusiasm and heart to the show. She can’t wait for the audience to see them all shine 🌟✨

Meet your stage/production manager of Six (Teen Edition & Dare to Dream: Simonne Matthew’s🌟

Simonne is a Stage/Production Manager and Producer based in Boorloo (Perth), with experience across new work development, theatre, dance, live music, and festivals. She has previously managed the Technical and Production Department at The Blue Room Theatre and toured nationally and internationally with Co3 Contemporary Dance as a Stage Manager. Simonne now works with CircuitWest, supporting touring across Western Australia and the Indian Ocean Territories. Passionate about community arts and the incredible talent that WA has to offer, she is committed to creating opportunities that connect artists and audiences and celebrate local creatives.

After teaching at Silhouette for the past 11 years, Simonne is so grateful to use her experience to connect the next generation of artists to high quality performing arts experiences! 🤍
