Mack is back in blue for another year. After a big 2026 NBL1 West Championship run, Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard is offically locked in to run it back. Coach Brad Robbins had this to say; "Mack brings a level of professionalism and coachablility that every coach would love to have in their program. The value she brings to our team and the wider club goes well beyond her ability on the court. Warwick is Mack's home for as long as she wants it to be."

Steph Gorman is BACK πŸ‘‘

Entering her 5th season with the club as a 2x Champion, 2x Defensive Player of the Year and a Finals MVP. Currently playing in the WNBL with the Perth Lynx, we couldn’t be more excited for Steph to return to the Den in 2027!

NBL1 WOMEN’S HEAD COACH APPOINTMENT

Coach Derrick Washington Jr. joins the Eastern Suns as Women’s Head Coach for the 2027 and 2028 seasons. He is bringing over 10 years of international coaching experience across six countries, including NBA and WNBA player development.

Most recently, Derrick helped the Casey Cavaliers men reach the playoffs for the first time in club history as Lead Assistant Coach in 2026. In the same role with the Logan Thunder women in 2025, he helped secure the NBL1 North Championship and a third-place finish at the NBL1 National Finals. His head coaching achievements include guiding the South West Metro Pirates women to the semifinals in 2023.

NBL1 MEN’S HEAD COACH APPOINTMENT

We are pleased to announce that NBL1 Men’s Head Coach, Aaron Trahair, has signed on for a further two years.

In 2026, Trahair led the team to their first finals in the NBL1 era and for the first time since 2019.

About staying with the program, Trahair said β€œI am grateful and excited to continue leading the Men’s program. Looking to build on a positive season as the focus now shifts to 2027. Go Suns!” 🧑πŸ”₯

The Warwick Senators are pleased to announce the signing of Isaac Etter for the 2027 NBL1 West season.

The talented guard joins the Senators following an impressive 2026 campaign, where he averaged 17.3 points and 5.0 assists per game, while shooting 45.2% from the field and 35.9% from three-point range.

Etter showcased his scoring and playmaking ability throughout the season, including a standout 34-point, 8-assist performance, featuring seven three-pointers.

His ability to create scoring opportunities, knock down shots from beyond the arc and impact the game with the ball in his hands will add another dimension to the Senators’ 2027 roster. Coach Andrew Cooper had this to say: "Isaac is exactly the type of player we want at Warwick - competitive, team-first and committed to getting better. We're excited to see what he can bring to our NBL1 program."
