Fat Loss is SO much simpler than you think
Eat Less, Move More - job done?
Pretty much
But who actually wants to eat less?
(I don’t expect many)
If you’re happy eating less, how about moving more AS WELL?
I’ve probably lost a few of you
this is what stops so many people from getting started (maybe you)
The truth is, you don’t need a super structured plan to get a result.
I’d argue that the more structure you’re given, the less likely you’ll hold that result in a years time.
But that’s a separate issue..
My point is, you can get a result by doing a lot less than you probably think - as long as the things you do are effective.
It means lifting weights (or doing bodyweight workouts)
It means keeping track of what you’re eating (but not necessarily counting calories)
It means walking and moving more throughout your day (get off the escalators)
You don’t even need to be doing all three of these things.
If you’re starting from scratch, keeping track of your food can be enough to get you losing weight
you don’t need to follow a strict plan to get a result
Ok, if your goal is to step on stage - go away - I’m not talking to you. You’ll need a lot more than a few extra steps and a food diary
Majority of you just want to look good in the photos next summer
Want to feel confident with your shirt off by the pool, or in that bikini you’ve not worn for ages

I've got to admit, Sunny isn't too happy with me at the moment...
He's over 10 kilo's down, and as a result he's got to go and buy new pants - the old ones are too big!
All while eating a vegetarian diet, full of traditional Indian staples.
Here's how he did it:
Sunny reached out a few months ago, awaiting the birth of his second child
He wanted to get some habits in place that will serve his health to set an example to his kids and keep up with them as they grow up
The plan was straightforward
Sunny joined a gym close to his home and got 2-3 workouts in every week
He started to go for walks
He started to think about and control his food intake
The biggest misconception for South Asians when it comes to weight loss is that the diet is too carb heavy and lacks protein.
Being totally honest - it is.
But that doesn't mean you have to ditch the traditional foods to get a result like this.
Let me repeat that : You don't have to miss out on the foods you love to achieve a physique you're proud of.
Simple strategies such as portion control, small consistent habits and structure around eating allowed Sunny to drop 10 kilos like it was nothing, all while eating the foods he's known his whole life.
Sunny and his wife welcomed their happy and healthy daughter to the world a few weeks ago now, and while that could throw a spanner in the works for most people, I'm confident Sunny has the strucures in place to continue on his journey
Every week, he shows up and gets s**t done - hat's off to him for his consistency

Ladies, fancy getting into a bikini for the first time in years?
Meet Chantelle.
Chantelle and I started working together 3 months before Summer.
When she reached out, Chantelle made her goals SUPER clear:

Are you a bit confused when it comes to health and fitness?
I don't blame you - every man and their dog thinks they're an expert just because they've trained for a while and downloaded MyFitnessPal
Jamini was in the exact same position before she reached out to me.
She was overwhelmed with the amout of information out there, and didn't know what to do when it came to exercise and nutrition.

You might have heard the phrase ‘eat less, move more’ before…
While it’s a fact - if you want to burn fat, you need to move more and eat less
But it’s a concept that is completely misunderstood
Let’s go back to the very first thing you learn when getting into fitness
Calories In Vs Calories Out
Eating ‘less’ is meant to reduce your ‘Calories In’
Moving more is meant to increase your ‘Calories Out’
The problem…
Following this blindly leads to crash dieting, eating disorders and a host of unhealthy habits associated with dieting
An approach I prefer to use (and one my clients LOVE)
Eat MORE, Move More
Before I get cancelled for telling you to eat more and you’ll lose weight - let me be clear
Eating more foods you can eat in high volumes with low calories is what I mean when I say eat MORE.
It’s basic, but it works
If you eat more of these high volume/low calorie foods, you’re going to be full all day long
You won’t want to snack, you won’t feel as hungry, and you’ll certainly have less room for the junk food that’s holding you back from that lean body you dream of.
The best way you can do this is including a hefty serving of fruit, veg and salad with every meal.
Eat your protein first, then eat your fruit/veg, and eat your carbs/fats last.
Moving more also means you’ll burn MORE calories, so you can eat MORE and still stay in a calorie deficit.
This isn’t groundbreaking - I’ve been telling you this for years now.
Save the junk food for special occasions, and fill up on low calorie/high volume foods
Eat MORE, move more - and you’ll burn that fat in no time.

Ladies - how comfortable are you in your activewear?
Do you feel confident? Or do you feel a bit self conscious?
Well, when Ishika started working with me, she wasn’t super confident wearing her activewear
Now, she’s SUPER confident
Sounds like the dream, right?
Let’s get into how she got there…
Ishika had already been going to the gym, but as soon as she got a program that
a) was specific to her goals of growing her glutes / lower body
b) gave her an opportunity to improve technique and progress weights
Things started to move, REAL quick.
She lost 10cm from her waist, while adding 12cm (!!) to her glutes!
Ishika also made some changes out of the gym.
With an active social life, we had to come up with a plan that would get her progress without too much sacrifice.
And that’s exactly what we did.
Ishika started on the NSF Hybrid Meal Plan to build healthy habits, and then transitioned over to calorie counting to level up her progress

Are you a total noob in the gym?
Feel a bit anxious about entering that new, intimidating environment?

Time for some honesty…

One of my coaching ethos is that the plan has to fit your lifestyle
Enjoying an active social life shouldn’t stop you from being confident in your body, and reaching new levels of growth
Rachel is a prime example of this.
She’d worked with coaches before, but found there was very little flexibility for her to live her best life and enjoy her busy social calendar
From eating poverty calories, to influencer programs - Rachel had tried it all.

Teia is stronger than ever
eating more food than ever
As lean as ever
The trifecta for most of us…
Teia put in a massive effort over 12 weeks to achieve this.
And while the plan’s details were specific for her - the foundations didn’t change.
Teia was used to counting calories but had only ever put herself into super-low deficits.
She’d gotten in great shape before but through bursts rather than consistency.
So we gave Teia structure around her eating.
From 2 snacks and 1 meal a day,
To 3 meals, 1-2 snacks
Her metabolism LOVED this… and she started dropping cms from her waist.
She was hitting PBs in the gym and getting stronger.
So after she lost 7cm from her waist, we gave her even more food…
And her physique started to really show.
Definition to her back, stomach, and size added to her glutes … she knocked it out of the park!
