💚⚡ NATIONAL GAMES BOUND! 🇦🇺

A massive shout out and GOOD LUCK to KTS's own Michael and Ryan, who are heading to Melbourne for the 2026 Special Olympics Australia National Games! 🏃‍♂️🔥

We couldn't be prouder of these two! The commitment, determination and energy they bring to our squad is something special, and we can't wait to see them out there demonstrating all their hard work

💚 But this is about more than just competition

2026 marks 50 years of Special Olympics Australia, an organisation creating opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to experience the joy of sport, develop their potential and be part of an inclusive sporting community

From 19–23 October, athletes from across Australia will come together in Melbourne to compete, celebrate their achievements and show what's possible when everyone has the opportunity to belong

At Kinetic Track Squad, we believe athletics is for EVERYONE. Different abilities, different journeys, but the same passion ⚡

💚 WORLD CEREBRAL PALSY DAY 💚

Today, we celebrate World Cerebral Palsy Day and highlight six KTS members:

⚡ Reese Prior
⚡ Niamh Mac Alasdair
⚡ Michael Cowan
⚡ Amelie Duggan
⚡ Deacon Ayres

The theme for World CP Day 2026 is recognising that every person with cerebral palsy has their own experiences, strengths, challenges and ambitions.

Our six athletes are different ages, they have different goals, different backgrounds, compete in different events and have different experiences of CP.

They are unique.

But in KTS, they are also simply part of the squad.
They train. They compete. They chase PBs. They celebrate each other's successes. They have good days and bad days. They work hard, have fun.

They belong.

And that is what inclusion means to us.
Not creating a separate space for people who are different, but creating one space where being different is completely normal.

World CP Day is about celebration. It's about challenging assumptions about cerebral palsy and creating real change in sport, education, employment and everyday life.

So, for UniqueANDUnited, our change is simple:

💚 We want a sporting system where inclusion isn't an initiative, a program or an exception. It's simply how sport works.

Different athletes.
Different journeys.
Different strengths.

One squad.
