🤍💙 CONGRATULATIONS JOSIE DE GASPERIS – LIFE MEMBER 💙🤍

Please join us in celebrating an incredibly deserving recipient of Life Membership of Mazenod Junior Football Club — Josie De Gasperis! 🏆

Josie has been part of the Mazenod football community for nine years, including the past four years officially serving on the Committee. But her contribution has always extended far beyond any title or position.

Over the years, Josie has been behind so many of the events and special moments that bring our club together — from season launches and end-of-season presentations to pasta nights, fundraising events, charity initiatives and countless other club activities.

As Events Coordinator from 2023–2025, Josie took on the enormous task of organising our 50th Anniversary Celebration at Optus Stadium. Months of planning, countless details and plenty of hard work went into creating such a memorable celebration of our club’s history.

Josie has also served as our Publicity Officer for the past two years, managing social media, coming up with creative ideas, capturing photos at games and events, and making sure the wonderful moments of our club are shared and celebrated.

What sums Josie up best is that somehow, whenever something needs doing, Josie ends up right in the middle of it! 😂

She gives her time, energy and enthusiasm so generously, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Even through some extremely challenging times for her own family, Josie has continued to give so much to football and to the communities she is part of.

🖤💚💛 And from all of us at Lesmurdie Saints Junior Football Club, we are incredibly proud that Josie has also been recognised as a Life Member of our club.

To be awarded Life Membership by two junior football clubs is an incredible achievement and a wonderful reflection of the impact Josie has had on the football communities she has been part of.

In 2024, Josie was also recognised as WA Football Volunteer of the Year, another wonderful acknowledgement of her dedication and contribution to junior football.

🏆 Life Membership is a fitting recognition of Josie’s dedication, countless hours of volunteering and enormous contribution to the people, families and communities of junior football.

Josie, you have helped create memories, bring people together, support families and make the clubs you are part of better places.

From everyone at Lesmurdie Saints Junior Football Club — congratulations Josie! We are incredibly proud of you and couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this wonderful honour. 💚💛💙🤍

Congratulations on becoming a Life Member of both Mazenod Junior Football Club and Lesmurdie Saints Junior Football Club! 🏆👏

🏆 PRESIDENT’S AWARD — JANELLE LETARI 🏆

At our presentations we proudly recognised Janelle Letari as the recipient of our President’s Award. 💚💛

Janelle is our LSJFC Treasurer, but her contribution to the club goes well beyond her official role.

You’ll find Janelle at the club most Friday afternoons, making sure we are stocked up with everything we need — from drinks to sausages and all the essentials for game day. She’s also there bright and early on Saturday mornings, setting up the BBQ and getting everything ready for the sausage sizzle. 🌭☕️

Janelle is always willing to lend a hand, pitch in wherever needed and quietly gets things done without ever expecting recognition.

Her commitment, reliability and willingness to help make such a difference to our club and our Saints community.

Congratulations Janelle, and thank you for everything you do for LSJFC! 👏💚💛

🏉 YEAR 6 vs PARENTS — THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN! 😂🔥

What started as a friendly game quickly turned into a VERY competitive battle! The parents really brought their A-game… although a few may be feeling the effects now 😬😂

The kids weren’t giving an inch, the parents weren’t backing down, and there may have been a few questionable calls along the way… 👀😂

⭐ Parent Player of the Match — ALEX! ⭐
Alex kicked the first goal of the game and celebrated like we had just won the Grand Final! 🏆😂

🏃‍♂️ Special mention to Mitch for his super-fast running abilities! We’re not sure if he was chasing the ball, chasing the kids or just trying to avoid getting tackled — but he was certainly moving! 😂💨

As for who actually won… 🤔
Well, we’re still not entirely sure! It was THAT close! We may need to call on the referees for the official final decision. 😂🏉

A fantastic way to finish off the year with plenty of laughs, competition and a few very sore parents!

Well done to our Year 6 boys and their brave (and slightly battered) parents! 💚💛

🏆 VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR 🏆

LSJFC would like to recognise four very deserving members of our Saints family — Sharlene & Daniel Paull, and Anna & Simon Paull! 💚💛🖤

The Paull family have been part of the Lesmurdie Saints for many years and have given so much of their time, energy, sponsorship and support to our club.

This year is especially meaningful as it marks their final year with the club, with their sons Joshua, Jacob and Nate all completing their final year as Year 6 players. While we are sad to see them go, we are incredibly grateful for everything the Paull family have contributed to our Saints community over the years.

🏆 LIFE MEMBER – SHEREE NIEHUS 🏆

LSJFC would like to congratulate a truly special member of the Lesmurdie Saints family — Sheree Niehus, whose years of dedication, generosity and unwavering support have earned her the highest honour our club can bestow: Life Membership. 💚💛

Since beginning her Saints journey in 2018, Sheree has given so much of her time, energy and heart to our club. She has taken on many important roles, including Team Manager, Auskick Coordinator, First Aider and Registrar.

As a First Aider, Sheree has always been there on game days to support our players and families, bringing her knowledge, experience and caring nature whenever she was needed.

She has also loved representing the Saints at WAFC events, proudly being part of opportunities that showcased our wonderful club within the wider football community.

Auskick has always held a particularly special place in Sheree’s heart. From coordinating sessions and creating a welcoming environment for our youngest Saints, to giving up countless weekends and getting stuck into the BBQ trailer, Sheree has always been someone who simply got in and helped wherever she could.

And it hasn’t just been Sheree who has contributed to our club. Her husband Mike has been a huge supporter, always lending a hand and becoming our club’s signature sign writer. Her daughter Ava and grandson Elijah have also been wonderful supporters of the Saints family.

It is often the little things that take the most time — the extra hours, the helping hands, the weekends given up, the jobs done quietly behind the scenes — and Sheree and her family have contributed countless moments like these over the years.

Those contributions may not always be seen, but they are certainly felt and appreciated, and they have helped make our club the community it is today.

With Taj now finishing his junior football journey with the Saints, Sheree’s time in an official club role may be coming to an end, but the impact she has made will remain part of our club for many years to come.

Sheree, we are incredibly proud of everything you have given to the Lesmurdie Saints.

Thank you for your commitment, your generosity, your time and, most importantly, your heart.

💚💛🖤 We are incredibly honoured to welcome you as a Life Member of the Lesmurdie Saints Junior Football Club.

Congratulations, Sheree Niehus — Life Member. 🏆👏
