I work as a Coach for a living so I kinda have to show up 😆 But I am here to tell you there are days when I am exhausted, and the thought of exercising and motivating others is a REAL struggle! (Sorry guys and girls).
For the most part I know once I am at work I am ready to push my clients and help them reach their goals. What does this mean for me you ask....?
I jumped on the scales for the first time in ages the other day. I was not happy at the extra 2-3kgs staring back at me, honestly I was totally bummed but the scales do not tell me how much stronger I have been feeling.
Sometimes I find I just need a few days to a coupe of weeks of not stressing about working out and just 'going with the flow' so to speak. As I said, yes the scales had gone up, but it did not show my strength gains or squat depth!!!
When I get into this mini rut I prefer slower workouts, I may take a walk or do some pilates instead of a strength workout or HIIT.
It’s hard to look at images online and on social media and not think, I want to look like that. Comparing ourselves can be a set up for failure and may set unrealistic goals and a vicious cycle begins.
We all work bloody hard and it is normal to sometimes go honesltly "I CBF". The key is to turn this negative into a positive. Do something different, make a plan to get back into a rhythm when you are truly ready!
You will start to feel more motivated again. If you need some tips, hit up your coach or flick me a DM!
Big love ❤💙

'Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.'
Strive everyday to be just a little bit better then yesterday. If you are not, that is fine. Have another go the next day and the next day! It is your determination to try that counts.

I don't know about you. But I am go, go, go. Rest is considered indulgent, and most people feel guilty when taking a minute for themselves.
Did you know Sleep is a vital, often neglected, component of every person's overall health and well-being. Sleep is important because it enables the body to repair and be fit and ready for another day. Getting adequate rest may also help prevent excess weight gain, heart disease, and increased illness duration.
Regardless of your exercise schedule, it's important to listen to your body. It will tell you if it needs a rest day, even if it's a day where you are supposed to be working out instead.
Look after yourself 💙

In my younger days what I wanted was to be thinner. Changing shape was an issue i'd hazard a guess 80-90% of women would have struggled with growing up. Even though I have never been "fat" or "big", I remember girls at school, me included whos bodies started to change.
➡️ Bigger b***s
➡️ Broader hips
➡️ Extra fat
And so on...
But, what I have come to realise now is, no one explained to us this was normal and no one explained to us the importance of being strong!
Your body changes in ways you never expected, you look and feel different.
➡️ Pre or Post Pregnancy
➡️ Your 20's VS your 40's
➡️ Pre or Post Comp
➡️ After an injury or time off
All of the above are things that happen in life and it is natural to be constantly evolving to meet your circumstances.
None of us will ever be younger than we are at this very moment. So don't be afraid to do something for your future self!
If this sounds like you and you would like to find out how to prepare your body for its future, take that leap now and book in to see me.
