Tomorrow’s open practice is cancelled due to essential first aid volunteer requirements not being met.

We know riders travel from all over to attend, and we won’t risk rider safety or peoples time hoping that someone shows up with first aid.

As the session has now been cancelled, we will not be accepting last-minute volunteers. There has been ample opportunity and reminders to volunteer prior to cancellation, and we must remain respectful to our volunteers who plan and communicate events and updates.

⚠️ Reminder: New to Pedals supports the transition from mini wheelers to sprockets, however, this division can support children of any age that are new to riding a BMX track. There are volunteers on the track and gate to assist new riders as they develop their skills. Strictly no parents on track.

🏁 STATE TITLES VOLUNTEER ROSTER 🏁

With States just around the corner, we need our amazing club and BMX community to come together to help make States at WBC a huge success 🖤💛

The volunteer roster is now open, with spots available for BBQ (2.5 hour shifts), Raffle & Lolly Table (2 hour shifts), and Canteen (1.5 to 2 hour shifts).

These are simple jobs, but they are essential to helping the event run smoothly and more importantly, they’re how we share the workload amongst our club and community.

If your child/partner/family member/friend etc is racing at State Titles, please consider putting your hand up for a shift and sharing the load. You don’t need to spend the whole day volunteering, one shift makes a difference.

We’re asking everyone to please check the roster linked below and fill a spot where you can. These positions need to be filled, and we need our club and BMX community to make that happen.

⚠️ MINI WHEELERS AND NEW TO PEDALS ⚠️

With a few things contributing to longer lines lately including the introduction of Just Go, an influx of new riders, riders from other clubs joining us in the lead-up to States, and children entering the track before they have been nominated, we are temporarily opening the gates 15 minutes earlier for Mini Wheelers and New to Pedals ONLY (5:15pm)

A gentle but very important reminder:

⚠️ Children cannot enter the track until they have been nominated at the noms hut.

⚠️ Children CANNOT be on the track before they have been nominated. Unregistered riders will not have the personal accident or public liability cover provided through AusCycling membership.

If you are still waiting in line to nominate, your child cannot be on the track. This is for everyone’s safety, to ensure riders are appropriately registered by the Club, and covered for racing.

Please note: Reminder, the changes to nominations times are temporary and we will advise when opening times return to normal.
