๐ TERM 2 RACE CALENDAR ๐
Racing runs every Friday night at Wanneroo BMX, unless otherwise stated, with the dates listed on the Term 2 calendar counting as scored rounds. Racing outside of the Term 2 calendar, including during school holidays, will be non-scoring until Term 3 commences.
โ ๏ธ Please be mindful that scored rounds may be cancelled due to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances. Keep an eye on our social media, as all racing communication will be posted there.
If a scoring round is cancelled, WBC riders will be listed as โhaving attendedโ to help ensure riders meet the minimum round eligibility for trophies.
However, volunteer requirements must still be fulfilled across the term, regardless of whether rounds have been cancelled. No exceptions will be made; families must complete a minimum of 2 volunteer roles in order for their rider to be eligible for a trophy.
A reminder that additional volunteer roles are available outside of Friday night racing, including but not limited to busy bees, open practice, come try days, and non-scored rounds.
โ ๏ธ It is essential that you record your volunteering via the volunteer link (posted to Facebook every Friday), or record it on the Volunteer Board at the club. Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure your volunteer contributions are recorded.

Westbrook, as always, we were super impressed with your racing tonight ๐๐ผ When I heard Chayse was nominated for BB Cycles Clubby of the Week, I wasnโt surprised, but asked for specific reasons as to why tonight was Chayses night.
This is what I was provided with:
- New big jump on last straight
- Got a hair cut
- Hasnโt been back chatting Adam
- Improved race craft
- Nice bike
I meanโฆ Canโt argue with that!
Youโre a legend chaysewestbrook42, keep doing your thing (except backchatting Adam) ๐

๐ Important Notice: New to Pedals ๐
To help maintain rider safety and reduce the risk of accidents, it is essential that riders nominate in sessions appropriate to their current skill level.
As such, we would like to remind parents and carers that:
โช๏ธNew to Pedals is an entry-level division. Once your rider can confidently complete the first two straights, they should progress to Sprockets.
โช๏ธNew to Pedals and Sprockets are separate divisions designed for different skill and confidence levels.
โช๏ธRiders participating in New to Pedals must participate in New to Pedals sessions ONLY. If you are New to Pedals, you cannot practice in Sprockets session.
It is the responsibility of parents/carers, with support and guidance from committee members where needed, to assess their riderโs current ability level and determine which division they are best suited for โ either remaining in New to Pedals or progressing to Sprockets.
Recently, we have noticed clear differences in skill levels during New to Pedals sessions, with beginner riders sharing the track alongside riders who would be better suited to the Sprockets division.
We have also observed a number of riders participating in both New to Pedals and Sprockets practice sessions.
For beginner riders, sharing the track with more advanced riders can create unsafe situations and increase the risk of accidents.
To help monitor sessions and ensure riders are participating in their designated practice groups only, different coloured wristbands will now be issued and monitored for NTP and Sprocket practice sessions.
We love our ever growing number of new to pedals and really appreciate everyoneโs continued cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and supportive environment for riders as they develop their skills ๐ซถ๐ผ
