Last week, we welcomed staff from several of our member organisations to SportHQ for a Youth Mental Health First Aid course facilitated by Happiness Co.
The session provided participants with practical skills, confidence and evidence‑based tools to recognise the signs of mental health challenges, start supportive conversations, and respond appropriately when young people need help.
Building knowledge and capability in this space is a vital step in creating safer, more supportive sporting environments for young people across our sector.
A big thank you to Happiness Co for delivering the training, and to the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport for their support in making this important initiative possible. 💚
