Introducing one of our 4 pride class instructors π³οΈβπβ¨
Marisa grew up dancing in South Africa before moving to Australia, where she discovered her passion for dance-based fitness classes. Ten years ago, she became a Jungle Body instructor and has been teaching ever since.
For Marisa, Pride is about visibility, education, empowerment, and the ongoing fight for equality and acceptance. It is a time to honor the past, celebrate the present, and look toward a more inclusive future.
Marisa is looking forward to a night of fun, celebrating who we are authentically and unapologetically!

I am Ash and my pronouns are They/Them.
I am an Official Jungle Body Choreographer & Administrative Director and have been doing The Jungle Body for 10 years!
I am a mother to a sassy 8 year old gymnast and wife to the most beautiful woman in the world. In 2021 my world was turned upside down when I woke up with no feeling in my legs and I couldnβt work. I was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis and Multiple Sclerosis and spent a month in hospital. I then spent the next year learning to walk and move again, navigating life with feeling in only 1 leg. I have danced my whole life and naturally progressed into Jungle Body in 2015 after retiring (for the first time lol) from competitions. I am a huge Science Geek and a music Nerd, I also love potatoes and Christmas. I canβt wait to dance on stage at the Big Gay dance party and celebrate pride with you all.
Pride is about celebrating living in a world where I am free to be myself without fear or consequences.

Hey, Iβm Jude! Iβve been a Jungle Body instructor for 5 years now. I started as a participant and jumped on stage within my first few months of attending classβI knew right then that I wanted to become an instructor! I love instructing classes and putting on big dance parties!
For me, Pride is about unity, resilience, and celebration. Itβs an invitation for everyone, LGBTQ+ or straight, to come together, celebrate love, and show the world that being true to yourself is something to be proud of. Pride is about authenticity and finding joy in diversity; itβs a time when our community stands together, honoring both the challenges weβve overcome and the uniqueness of each person.
Pride is about more than celebrationβitβs a chance to create a space where everyone feels free to be themselves and appreciated for who they are.
I am so excited to be part of this event, surrounded by other instructors who share this vision of love, inclusivity, and authenticity. Last yearβs class was so much fun, and I canβt wait to do it all again!

Hi, Iβm Sara! Iβve been a Jungle Body I instructor for 7 amazing years! I first started Jungle Body as a participant and grew to love it that much I wanted to be an instructor myself! My goal was to help people move in a fun way and Iβve definitely done that! Itβs my outlet, my ME time! It got me through so much and Iβm so grateful to be a part of the Jungle Body fam!
Celebrating Pride to me is about embracing who I am without fear or hesitation. Itβs a powerful affirmation of my identity and my sexual orientation. This journey of self-acceptance has taught me the importance of being true to myself and celebrating my uniqueness.
A celebration of love in all its forms for me means standing tall in my truth, celebrating my identity, and advocating for a world where everyone can do the same. Itβs a journey filled with joy, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to loveβboth for myself and for others.
Pride signifies the strength found in the community. Itβs about connecting with others who share similar experiences and challenges. This sense of belonging fosters solidarity and support, allowing us to uplift one another. Participating in pride events or gatherings creates an atmosphere of joy and acceptance, reminding me that I am not alone in my journey.
Pride is intertwined with resilience. It acknowledges the struggles faced by those who came before us and the ongoing fight for equality and justice. Recognising this history inspires me to advocate for myself and others, ensuring that future generations can live authentically without fear of discrimination. I love being a part of the LGBTQ+ community!
Iβve met so many wonderful people on my journey and am so excited to be a part of this event!
