In case you ever needed an excuse to attend Claisebrook Cove parkrun

What a great bunch of volunteers. Thanks for your efforts. Good run everyone and enjoy your long weekend
Happy Friday! As of now, it will be an interesting run this week. There is no timekeeper, no finish tokens. With no course set up and no turn around marshal. Let's stop this from happening. If you can volunteer in any of those roles to make this week happen, please reach out through the usual means and coffee and high fives will be all yours
Happy Thursday. Only need a few key roles for Saturday to go ahead. And roles that you can do the run as well. Time keeper, finish tokens, course check, event set up. Reach out in the usual ways and let us know.

This message is relevant to parkruns everywhere, including Claisebrook Cove parkrun.
Please have a read and understand why it is we want to share this message.
Thank you.
Hi everyone,
Due to some feedback after this morning's event, unfortunately I need to make this request again, which is to please keep as quiet as possible when our Run Directors are giving their all important run brief. I get it, that after 10/25/50/100/250/500 events that the brief can sound like it is the same message over and over, but again I ask that you show some respect for the R.D (and other volunteers) and place your week in review with your friends on hold for just a few short minutes while it is being delivered.
This is the point in the event where we can kind of wrangle everyone fairly closely into a single location to convey important safety messages, milestones, celebrations and other relevant event information before you go barrelling down the footpath chasing that elusive P.B or to walk and chat about all manner of things. While you may have heard a variation on the brief for many years, for some attendees it is their very first time hearing it and if they can't hear it properly, it may be the difference between them (and even you) having a great or negative experience out on course.
Ultimately, the R.D and all of the other volunteers are there to deliver the event that you all love, but they are also responsible for your safety and wellbeing and so I ask again, please, put the conversation on hold and listen for just a short period of time. After that, you can chat as much as you want, and to be honest, I will actively encourage you to do so.
Thank you.
Brendan - Event Director
Happy Wednesday! Great news is that we have a full roster for this saturday so a great relief for the director team. Enjoy the week and see you all on saturday morning

Are you in this photo?
Or know someone who is?
Or been in any photo at Claisebrook Cove parkrun since this one was taken, at the very first parkrun in WA, right here, at this location?
TAG A MATE TO LET THEM KNOW.....
We have our 700th parkrun coming up and it falls on our 14th Birthday. π
We're in the planning stage of an event to mark this special milestone and asking for your contribution. If you have photos that you would like to send us, towards our RETRO PHOTO BOARD (can you spot the event theme here?), we would love to receive them. A collage of "then and now" perhaps?
We have all changed in 14 years. Some kids have grown up, some of us have got faster, some have become parkwalkers, some have only joined our parkrun community in later times, but we all have one thing in common. Our love for parkrun, and particularly, our love for Claisebrook Cove parkrun. There are some wonderful parkrun memories that have been captured over the years and deserve another viewing.
You can send your pics to us here, or at messenger, or at [email protected], or if you prefer, print them, and hand them to us on Saturdays in the lead up to our 700th, set for 8th August. Mark you diaries or add to your parkrun app planner and keep an eye here for more details to come. π
