When strengthening and toning your muscles through weight training, itβs just as important to incorporate stretches specific to you. Stretching loosens tight muscles and connective tissue which can aid in reducing the risk of injury when weightlifting with a few minutes of pre, during and post workout stretching. I am a big believer that the more prepared your muscles and joints are for an activity, the more protected you will be against injury.

Weak glutes are associated with tight hip flexors, sore knees, tight lower back and can be associated with poor movement mechanics. So whatβs one of the best exercises you should be doing to improve these issues and improve other important lifts such as squat and deadlift? Hip thrusts of course ππͺπ½

The lower back is a sensitive spot for many people. While there can be a ton of causes of lower back pain, a weak core and poor posture from sitting all day (and consequently shortening the hip muscles that then pull on the lower back) are two really common contributing factors to lower back aches and discomfort. It's always important to figure out what's causing pain so you can address it and prevent it from happening again.
