In this video, Alex from Volleyball WA shares how their organisation has embraced the True Sport Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiative and the positive impact it's had across their community.

Indoor season, complete. ✅

Congratulations to our WA athletes, coaches, officials, families, and support staff for contributing to an outstanding week of volleyball at the 2026 Australian Youth Volleyball Championships.

Our 15 WA Youth State Teams competed against Australia’s best throughout the intense 6-day competiton here at home, showcasing the emerging talent our state has to offer.

Shout out to our WA medal and award winners:
🥉 U15 Boys Black Team - Bronze Medal
🖤 U15 Boys Head Coach Kevin Gravestock - WA Coach of the Year
💛 Shaun Barnett - Referee of the Tournament

While the results did not reflect our most successful year on the court, the championship provided invaluable experience for athletes and coaches and highlighted the strength of our performance pathway.

The character, resilience, friendships, and lessons developed throughout the week will continue to shape our athletes long after the final whistle and strengthen the future of volleyball in Western Australia.
