With the weekend only a stone's throw away, it's time to check ya bolts, glue ya tyres, and read this post for info on the weekend.

Our drivers meeting will be at a leisurely 1:45 PM, with the first race at 2:00 PM. EP8 Buggy will be split into 2 heats which will aid with marshalling. Both of those heats plus the heat of 4WD Stock will make each round short and sharp, so there will be plenty of time between races to take your cars back to the pits before going back out to marshall. With all of the 4WD Stock drivers also in EP8 Buggy, some help with marshalling will be required.

Since the 4WD Stock Buggies only have 4 drivers, the class will not be earning Championship Points. This opens the door for drivers to bring along any car you want and cut some laps just for fun!

We will aim to finish around 5:30, as shown in the schedule, but we won't be in any rush. Once we have finished, the track will likely be open for practice under lights.

The lovely aerial shot shows where to set up camp and park your car. The club does have bathroom facilities next to the canteen, hiding in the trees above the spectator parking.

The wonderful canteen volunteers will be cooking up a sausage sizzle for lunch, and pulled pork brisket with some sides will be dinner. Sunday will have bacon egg rolls for brekky and a sausage sizzle lunch.

Don't forget to bring some spare change for the raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses and hobby stores there's plenty of prizes to win! A ticket costs only $2, with a 3 ticket deal for $5.

Last, but not least, check your transponder numbers! Youh don't want to be that guy waiting at the timing room 😉

Round 5 at Goldfields Radio Control Model Car Club is under a fortnight away 📅 with the entry cut-off being extended until Sunday the 24th of May!

Numbers have always been slimmer at this round, but those who attend know it is a track worth fighting for ⚔️

The EP8s, feeling a sense of belonging at this track, currently show 13 entries, with some strong battles of locals and travellers on the cards.

The only other class with entries is the consistent 4WD Stock Buggy, currently 1 entry short 🤏 of the 5 required to earn Championship Points.

I have faith that at least another 4WD Stock Buggy will joing the party and have a ripping fun time; but if there's any other 1/10th cars entered and brought to the event there might be some different and exciting ideas brewing behind the scenes 🧙‍♂️🪄

Please give the RacePal description a read, starting time is 2PM (Yes, the afternoon!) to allow for travellers to cross the country on the day.

With Round 4 complete, we are more than halfway through this year's series!
You know what that means, any class and driver with 4 or more results will qualify for the end of year trophies. There's 3 rounds remaining, so please get your entries in and stay updated 😃

The top 3 in Junior have a close battle, with Zac leading the charge in front of Oscar and Lucca, with 1st & 2nd showing a 5 point gap and only 1 point(!) between 2nd and 3rd. One more round will earn the class EOY trophies 🏆

The 2WD Buggies have been a hit and a miss, with Mod recording 1 round (with

Hi all,

With MORBC's round complete we have passed the mighty halfway point in this year's series. The current Series Leaderboard will be posted soon, but first we need to get our ducks in a row.

The picture below shows the remaining rounds, with BRCCC being dropped and WCMRC being renamed to Round 7. There has been discussion back and forth in regards to our rule book being revised to more accurately depict how our events are governed and operated. With BRCCC being on a licensed venue there has been particular focus on how the event can be run without any alcoholic beverages. The Interclub committee has proposed suggestions but BRCCC hasn't come to agreeance, hence they decided to pull out of hosting a round this year. Both us and the BRCCC committee will remain in discussion to seek a solution to run a round next year.

In more imminent news, Round 5 at GRCMCC is coming up soon, with the entry cutoff date being the 21st of May. This event will be run as a twilight round, going into the evening with the lights being turned on as the sun lowers. The idea is to allow drivers to head east early in the morning. GRCMCC is running the 1/8th States Warm-Up on the Sunday, so don't forget to get your entries in for that as well!

Round 4 hosted by MORBC was a blast, with the home class of EP8 being full to the brim and the 4WD Buggies showing what can be done with such a light platform.

This event couldn't be done without the support of the MORBC committee, along with the canteen chefs and anyone who jumped on a blower or helped marshalling the smaller classes.

The track benefitted a little bit too much from the night's rain but showed it's true form as the day progressed, with minimal dust, a good groove forming, and a bit of tacky-ness giving the track a unique character we don't see too often.

Someone deserving a special shoutout is Tyrone Powles, spending time in the canteen, getting some sawdust, as well as the race director. People like him help turn a good event into an amazing event.

With plenty of media taken, the podiums are captioned below along with some more pics.

Results are up on Sensible Laps, and stay tuned for a Championship Points update.

Congrats if you've read this far, how about we start getting entries in for Round 5 at GRCMCC? You know what to do 😉

Here's a teaser of what's to come tomorrow! The 4WD Buggies seem to be an absolute blast on this track 🚀

A reminder that brekky (bacon & egg rolls) and lunch (beef or chicken burgers) will be available along with the usual cool drinks. MORBC puts solid time and effort into providing this to us, so say thank you! 😋

P.S. I think Rendy is saving his best for the day 😁

The entries are in! Please check your name is listed and the correct transponder number is written alongside.

EP8 now has 31 entries with 3 late comers, Junior has 3, 4WD Stock has 8, and 4WD Mod has 6.
The 2WD Buggies have been dropped due to insufficient entries, if you have entered in this class and would like to change to another class that is running please send a message our way.

This round has a solid turnout for the 4WD Buggies and the EP8s, below is the order which should provide the least back-to-back racing. However if you are back-to-back, it is required for you to find a substitute to marshal for you. With almost 20 drivers entered in EP8 only, there's plenty of options to keep the day moving on time.

The MORBC crew will have the canteen open for brekky bacon & egg rolls, with coffee also available. Lunch will have a chicken or beef burger, along with a side of chips.
The normal cool drinks will also be available throughout the day.

Gates open at 7:00, driver's briefing at 8:45 with the first race starting at 9:00.

As the Easter Bunny hops away for another year, entries for Round 4 at MORBC are coming to a close! All entries need to be in by midnight THIS THURSDAY (April 9th)!

As of now, only 4WD Stock, 4WD Mod, and EP8 (with 2 heats) will be running for Championship Points. The current entries provide unavoidable back-to-back racing, which commonly causes delays. Having a filler round with the remaining classes mixed will assist with the event's flow, so let's try to boost the numbers of the other classes; and remember, at least 5 drivers for a class are required to race on the day for the class to earn Championship Points.

At the close of entries tomorrow night, all classes with 5 or more drivers will be locked in to earn Championship Points and late entries are only accepted for classes that will earn Championship Points. Stay tuned for more info on this.

MORBC will also have the track light up with power on Thursday the 15th, so let them know you're bringing your cars down by signing up on RacePal!

I don't like Mondays, but I do like racing! Hop on RacePal and get ya entries in for the coming Interclub Rounds 😁

With all the Perth 1/10th cars being overly accustomed to everything but natural dirt, Round 4 (yes, 4) at MORBC is the prime opportunity to race at a place where a "bit of dirt never hurt".

Numbers are increasing at a crawling pace, so lets swap the crawler for a basher to see where the competition sits. The 4wd and 2wd Buggies have some strong names present, but some also missing! Is this the chance to pounce ahead of them? 🤔🏆

Entries close the night of April the 9th.

Four weeks from now will be the Round 4 held at MORBC on the 18th of April!
Current entries show EP8 and 4WD Stock have suffice entries to earn points, but there's plenty of promise with 2WD Mod and 2WD ST. Spread the word and get your mates down to the track.

The MORBC crew will have the track open for a practice night on Thursday April the 2nd, so pay a visit to start the Interclub a step ahead of the competition 😉

Entries will strictly close on Thursday the 9th of April.
