🤲 CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME – CAN EXERCISE HELP?

Do you experience numbness, tingling, pins and needles or aching in your hand and wrist? These can be common symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), which occurs when the median nerve becomes compressed at the wrist.

The good news? Movement and exercise may have a role in managing symptoms and improving hand and wrist function. Research has found that tendon and nerve-gliding exercises, particularly when combined with other conservative treatments, may help reduce symptoms and improve function for some people. However, the evidence is mixed, which is why an individualised approach is important. 🧠💪

In this video, our Exercise Physiologists at Exercise For Life demonstrate some exercises that may help support wrist mobility and function.

⚠️ Important: Not every exercise is suitable for every person with carpal tunnel syndrome. Your symptoms, strength, mobility and daily activities should all be considered when developing an exercise program.

At Exercise For Life, our Exercise Physiologists can assess your individual needs and develop a tailored exercise program to help you move with greater confidence and stay active.

👉 Don't ignore ongoing numbness or tingling. Book an appointment with our team today.

Great session, even better conversations 👏

We had an amazing Education Session on Tuesday, 28th April at Exercise For Life with Sam Keenan, where we covered all things osteopenia and osteoporosis.

These conditions affect bone health, with osteopenia being the early stage of reduced bone density, and osteoporosis a more advanced condition where bones become fragile and more likely to fracture. The good news? With the right exercise, education, and support, you can take real steps to improve bone strength and reduce risk.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and got involved — we love seeing our community take charge of their health 💪

Missed out? Don’t worry, there’s more to come!
We’ll be running more education sessions, so keep an eye out 👀

If you’d like to be added to our email list to hear about upcoming events, send us a message or get in touch 📩

April 25 — a day to reflect, remember, and honour.

We remember the bravery and sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Their legacy lives on in the strength and resilience of those who follow.

Lest we forget.
