Futsal, Portuguese for futebol de salao which is five a side soccer. Futsal is played with two teams of five players, one of which is a goalkeeper, on a court of similar size to a basketball court. Futsal is played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regular soccer ball. The ball forces a player to use their skill rather than the ball’s bounce to move it.
