We need to congratulate our very own Annie Farrell after the Queensland 15 girls team she helped to coach was crowned Champions of the FFA National Futsal Championships on the Gold Coast.

Along the way the side drew with NNSW red 2-2, then defeated Football Victoria 7-3, West 11-1, Football NSW Country 8-1, NNSW black 13-0, FNSW Lightning 7-3 and FNSW Thunder 2-1 in the Final.

Annie was also presented with the coach of the tournament award for the 15 girls. We are so very lucky to have her in WA!

Thank you to everyone!

It’s been a massive and thrilling tournament at the 2026 Junior National Club Futsal Championships in Sydney. We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in making this an unforgettable experience.

We would like to thank all the families, friends and parents for your cheering and encouragement. The players are very lucky to have such tremendous support to grow as players on and off the court.

Thank you to all the coaches for your leadership and dedication to the sport and commitment to the players. You have provided amazing guidance no matter the results.

Thank you to all the players for not only putting it all out on the court with your heart on your sleeve, but also showing up to cheer on other WA games with passion and energy! Futsal is a growing game but is still small, we are much stronger together and celebrating each other!

In the end, the association played 61 games across all age groups with 32 wins (52%), 7 draws (12%) and 22 losses (36%). We scored a collective 330 goals (ave. 5.4) with 161 against (ave. 2.6) and 4 clean sheets!

We had 7 All-Star selections, 5 Quarter-Finalists, 4 Semi-Finalists, 3 Grand-Finalists, 2 Runners-Up, 1 Grand-Final MVP and our very first ever U8 Boys National Champions!

Thank you again to everyone and we look forward to seeing the growth of not only the players but the Futsal WA family until the next Nationals!

15 Girls | Runners-Up🥈

The 15 Girls almost pulled off one of the all-time greatest tournament comebacks in Futsal WA’s history. They started with 3 draws and 1 loss sitting near the bottom after day two. They quickly turned it around with 3 consecutive wins and 2 clean sheets to squeeze into the top 4. They then went onto win the semi-final in a penalty-shootout against the undefeated NSW Sydney girls!

A terrific performance against a tough ACT outfit in the Grand-Final but they unfortunately fell short with a 3-2 loss. Despite the ending, the girls put in an outstanding performance displaying great character and determination all throughout. Their form was also recognised with Emi Whittome and Peyton Govier gaining All-Star selection!

12 Boys | Runners-Up🥈

The 12 Boys put up a fantastic National tournament being undefeated all the way until the Grand-Final! They finished with 7 wins from 8 games and a huge total of 85 goals (10.6 goals p/game)

They put up an amazing fight against a quality opposition in the Grand-Final to unfortunately fall short by 1 goal. Despite the loss we could not be more proud of their efforts, attitude and performance! The future looks bright for these boys.

8 Boys | Champions🏆

For the second time in Futsal WA history, we had 4 junior teams make the Semi-Finals and 3 make the Grand-Final of which 2 earned Runners-Up and 1 became National Champions!

The 8s had an amazing tournament going undefeated from start to finish! They finished 10 wins from 10 games with a total of 87 goals scored (8.7 goals p/game).

They finished strong with an 8-4 victory in the Grand-Final to cement what has been an unreal performance. We can’t wait to see the growth and potential of these players!
