How often do you rotate your wheels and what is ‘the right’ answer?
For most skaters, particularly speed skaters, it’s a matter of when required.
I hear a lot of skaters rotating often, front to back left to right, inside to outside.
What a lot of people don’t take into account is the fact that most wheels have an inside and outside. One side is smooth to the hub and the other has a flat surface to allow them to be easily pulled from the mould. This side is more likely to ‘scrub out’ on the end of a corner push and slip, so fitness skating requires different methodology to speed skating.
