From Thursday, 30 July to Sunday, 2 August, the Swan River will become the stunning backdrop for our Art Exhibition in support of Spectrum Space.
Each week, we’ll be highlighting one of the artworks you’ll be able to admire — and purchase — at the exhibition. This featured piece is “PHAENORUM” by Stef Rae. She is an Australian expressionist artist diving into the messy, luminous heart of contemporary painting. Grounded in process and emotional honesty, unfolding through layered abstraction and automatic gesture, her new body of work invites you into a charged emotional landscape where control and chaos wrestle openly on the canvas.
Curious to discover the other artworks on display? Make sure to mark the Art Exhibition in your calendar.

🌍⛵ RFBYC Members Making Waves on the World Stage! ⛵🌍
Our members continue to pop up in sailing events around the globe, and this time it was Adam Brenz-Verca sailing at the Corinthian J/70 World Championships in Marseille, France.
Adam sailed aboard Celestial, helmed by Dr Sam Haynes (Commodore at CYCA), helping the team to secure an impressive 2nd place overall in the championship with 88 teams competing. 🥈
Adam's success comes as no surprise. He has become a highly sought-after crew member, regularly sailing with Richard Lynn on his Dragon, Grantham Kitto on his Etchells, and has been an integral part of the match racing teams of Ethan Prieto-Low and, more recently, Marcello Torre.
It's fantastic to see our younger sailors broadening their experience across a variety of classes and fleets, both at home and internationally. The skills, knowledge and connections they gain from these opportunities only strengthen the future of sailing at RFBYC.

Busy week at the Club! 🚤
A unique sighting has occurred yesterday! You don't see it often, but we had a boat being lifted into the water. A spectacular sight it was.
While the Magic Hand Carwash Midweek Winter Series was ongoing, the Food & Beverage team worked out new function packages and had them photographed. So next time you are organising your event at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, you have new dishes to experience.
Our Members' Bar has also received a refreshed look. Retaining the style members know and love, we are delighted to introduce new chairs and tables. Together with some lovely bouquets, the bar is ready for the weekend!
So come to the Club and enjoy your long weekend! 🍷
