IT ALL STARTS TONIGHT!

The Northern Aspect Construction Norwest Championships are here, with two huge nights of racing set to light up AshFuels Carnarvon Speedway this weekend.

A strong contingent of 15 Wingless Sprint drivers will battle it out in the Autopro Carnarvon Fruitbowl Classic, with fast-paced qualifying, intense heat races and plenty on the line when the racing gets underway from 5pm.

Don't forget to head to the clubrooms after racing on Saturday night for the Drivers Draw. It's open to everyone and a great opportunity to be part of the weekend festivities.

Sunday night will wrap up the event with presentations and a buffet dinner for just $15 per person. No tickets are required – simply pay as you line up.

Spectator gates open from 2pm both days, so get in early and secure your spot.

DES NASH MEMORIAL RECAP

A big night at the Motorplex for the $10,550 to win Des Nash Memorial, but it wasn’t the results we were chasing, and we were on the back foot from the get-go after a tough qualifying session put both cars deep in the field early.

W7 – Brandon
Qualified P6, then went 6th > 5th in the heat.
Made more progress in the B Main, charging from 6th to 4th to transfer into the feature.

Rolled off P27 in the 30-lap A Main and put together a solid drive forward, picking off cars and staying clean to finish P20.

W58 – Trav
Qualified P9 and finished P9 in the heat.
Started P16 in the B Main and drove forward to P8, just missing out on a transfer spot.

One of those outlaw-format nights where track position is everything and passing is tough, but both cars kept digging all night.

We’ll reset, regroup and be back this weekend for the EGT WA Wingless Title !

Tonight we roll in for one of the biggest shows on the calendar, racing for $10,550 to win in honour of “The Outlaw” Des Nash. This one means a lot, and we’re ready to take our shot 💰🔥

The format tonight is as tough as it gets and truly lives up to that outlaw style:

Night 2 – Australian Wingless Title 🏁🇦🇺

Night 2 at the Motorplex saw a mix of grit and speed across the team.

Travis rolled out in Heat 16 from P10 and brought it home in P10 in a tough, even race where passing was at a premium. That left us starting deep in the B Main from P21, but he charged forward in the 20-lapper to finish P13, gaining 8 spots in a solid recovery drive. Unfortunately, after a tough weekend, it wasn’t quite enough to transfer into the A Main.

On the W7, Brandon started the night strong with a P2 finish in Heat 21, putting us in a good position heading into the 40-lap A Main. Lining up P20, he worked his way forward throughout the race to finish P7.

To come away with a P7 finish and AUS 7 overall in our first crack at an Australian Title is something we’re genuinely proud of. Plenty learned, plenty gained, and we’ll be back better for it.

We’ll reset and be back on Wednesday for the Component Specialties Des Nash Memorial, chasing a shot at $10,550 💪🔥

Night 1 – Burson Auto Parts Australian Wingless Title 🇦🇺🏁

A solid opening night at the Motorplex for Team Sharpe with both cars showing speed in a stacked field.

W7
Kept moving forward every time we rolled out.
Heat 6: 5th > 4th
Heat 12: 6th > 4th
Prelim B: 7th > 6th
Consistent gains all night and putting ourselves in a strong position heading into Night 2.

W58
A tougher start but turned it around when it mattered.
Heat 3: 7th > 9th
Heat 9: 6th > 10th
Prelim A: 17th > 11th
Big charge in the prelim to claw back positions and build momentum for the final night.

Plenty to work with across both cars. Reset, reload, and ready to have a proper crack on Night 2!
