Alexander Park Tennis Club

We did it! Alexander Park won the Most Outstanding Large Club award at the tennis West awards night last Friday night. A superb effort by everyone involved at this amazing tennis club as it continues to grow and be better year in and year out. A massive thankyou to Club President Ceri who put together the greatest nomination submission you’ll ever see. It was brilliant. And Francesco who also helped to get the best pics to include in that. Thanks to Clare for dragging everyone up to accept the award and for giving the winning speech. Thanks as well to the rest of the board who do their work behind the scenes. You guys are passionate about this club and it shows. And the members - guys are the best.

The club has massive plans for AP’s future. It’s really an exciting time to be at this club. 🏆🏆🏆👏👏👏🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

Last Saturday we held our annual presentation night for Leagues and Club Champs and also made it a cocktail night. It was hugely successful with a great turn out with heaps of juniors also showing up for their presentation as well. Congratulations to all our winners and runners up and all those who play for this wonderful club each year. Also a huge thank you to our club president Ceri for who at the last second called out the awards due to Club Captain Monica battling sickness - but still showed up to help out. Nice work ladies. And also Tennis Excellence coach Mayank for handing out our junior awards. Was an amazing night. Our senior Club Champ winners took home $50 Siena's of Leederville vouchers which our members love. And Club VP Clare put together the awesome nibbles on the night that everyone devoured. What a team!

Anzac Day 2026 on Saturday was an amazing day all round. Entries up ridiculously on last year thanks to Ceri and the board and Matty V for really pushing to get entries in even close to the cut off point. All courts were in use and it was amazing to see parents and their kids sharing the court having a great time.

Club Champion of Champions Finals action doubles this weekend. Nick and Josh are undefeated in their two matches so far but face the quality pairing of Reuben and Oscar Giorgio today at 11am if you want to get to the State Tennis Centre to support them. Monica and Scotty lost both their matches but were victorious in their third after a walkover.
