Hi everyone,

It is with great sadness that we wish to let you know Bike Bag Hire WA is closing down. This is an exciting time for us, as we are going onto new adventures and looking forward to some much-needed R&R. Thank you for your support over the last few years, particularly during COVID which was (and still is) a difficult time for all of us. If you wish to purchase one of our bags, please feel free to send us a DM.

It has been a pleasure to be a small part of your travels over the years and we wouldn’t have been here this long if it wasn’t for your ongoing support.

As promised, here are a few fun facts that confirm what we know to be true - West Australians are loving the ride!

These figures are from the 2019 Austroads National Cycling Participation Survey (published biannually). Given the recent estimates that cycling rates have tripled in Perth (source: MetroCount), it's possible these numbers could be even bigger! Have you noticed an increase in biking activity in your local area?

Today might be the official , but in our eyes, every day should be World Bicycle Day. Here's to another 365 days of ! 😍

Getting out for a ride is a great way to stay busy and keep our minds clear during this weird time. From all of us at Bike Bag Hire WA we hope everyone is keeping well and staying safe. We are ready to go when you are!

Thank you for the tips Ash from Loose riders Perth!

1. Always read insurance fine print

2. Don't put tools in carry on.

3. A tip I learned after 50 plus trips. Take two back packs when checking in to keep the bike bag weight down. After your bike bag is weighed at check in on the way to over-size put the second back pack in the bike bag before you get to over-size.

4. Look up the local Loose riders Perth chapter to ride with local crews in whatever country you are going. 😎

• Cut up some pool noodles and tape in place around frame and handle bars etc for extra padding.

• Actually allowed to take two Co2 canisters for inflating tyres in checked in luggage.

• Minimise loose items such as pump inside bike bag as it can scratch frame whilst in transit.

• Put as much as you can in the bike bags such as towels or wetsuits for extra protection and less weight in your luggage.

• Get to check in as early as possible so there is less chance of having issues checking in.

• Cut bubble wrap into usable pieces for different parts of the bike and use as many as possible.

• Lastly - Get your husband to pack the bike whilst you sit back and relax 😆
