SNESA Strikes Twice At Lightning Park

SNESA's League and Reserves teams will head into the general bye round with their tails up after both recording emphatic wins over Noranda at Lightning Park on Saturday.

The Reserves welcomed back a few players, as young blood began to pump its way through the veins. Sean Holland opened the scoring as the saints kicked six first quarter goals and kept the opposition scoreless. Dion Carle was superb through the middle, while Louis Pasquarosa starred across halfback.

Up forward Holland jailed four goals in the first half, including a lovely snap from the boundary. Wade Goodhew, Damien Malouf and Brody Williams bagged two each as defenders got in on the action with Hawkins, Green and Pasquarosa capping off a solid effort down back.

The story of the day belonged to a couple of youngsters and young stars, with Ty Matthews continuing to show great promise and confidence through the midfield. While Tarj Knight got his first goal for the club in the second quarter, before kicking two more including a lovely banana in the final term to cap off a stellar day for the reserves. The saints recording their first win for 2026 after six straight losses, elevating themselves to seventh on the ladder.

The story was similar in the League match, with the saints also bursting out with a six goal first quarter. Dobbs with the first three of the match. The saints lost Cusworth early to injury but continued to pile on another seven goals in the second term, with Ben Williams and Dylan Kirk extraordinary through the middle. Colace was consistent throughout the match earning himself three goals, while Parker worked his way into the match, kicking four and staying four clear at the top of the goalkicking leaderboard.

Whilst the game didn't seem to reach any exciting heights, the saints continued to work forward, kicking 10.7 in the second half to run out 129 point winners over Noranda.

The bye beckons, before the saints travel again to play Swan View placed tenth in the reserves and seventh in the league grade.

Past players round is not far away on June 13th, Round 9 as the saints host Yanchep.

Stolen Jumpers:

Good morning All,

Overnight our league blue and gold jumpers sponsored by Slinglift, were stolen from one of our player’s cars that was broken into in the belmont/cloverdale area. The jumpers were in a blue suitcase/luggage.

The incident has been reported to police and we request the football community and public’s help in finding these jumpers and having them returned to Queens Park Reserve or to Belmont police station, along with the player’s other stolen belongings too.

This is a disgraceful, cowardly act so this is the culprit’s chance to redeem themselves and do something good with their life.

Please return to our football club or belmont police immediately. The football club will not file charges if the jumpers are returned in an appropriate condition.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Rafic Aoun
President
