From Mount Barker to Armadale, these two teams are making sure parents and carers know that when children are around water, supervision matters.

Congratulations to our 2026 Watch Around Water Facilities of the Year:
🏆 Regional – Mount Barker Memorial Swimming Pool, Shire of Plantagenet
🏆 Metropolitan – Armadale Fitness & Aquatic Centre, City of Armadale

Mount Barker has embedded Watch Around Water into its community through its annual Fun Day, facility-wide messaging and a team that takes active supervision seriously.

AFAC has made water safety a whole-of-centre effort, combining its huge Watch Around Water Week with staff-led programs, positive supervision rewards and initiatives that make it easier for parents to supervise children in the water.

Congratulations to both teams for keeping water safety front and centre.

The award was presented by Alissa Lim from event Platinum Sponsor Jonas Leisure.
