Curtin University Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Giordan Serra as Head Coach of our Men’s State League First Team.
An AFC B Licensed coach, Giordan was Head Coach of Stirling Macedonia’s U23 NPL in 2026, where he has been responsible for recruitment, squad planning, player development, training methodology, match preparation and opposition analysis, while working closely with the club’s First Team program.
Prior to joining Stirling Macedonia, Giordan spent seven consecutive seasons at Floreat Athena, coaching across the U14–U20 NPL pathway. During that time, he progressed through each age group and played an important role in developing players for U18, U20 and senior First Team football.
Giordan brings a clear football philosophy to Curtin, centred around possession-based, purposeful football, strong positional understanding and an organised approach both in and out of possession. Just as importantly, his coaching background demonstrates a strong commitment to developing young players and creating genuine pathways into senior football.
Curtin University Football Club is excited about what Giordan can bring to the next chapter of our Men’s State League program.

“I’m extremely excited to be joining Curtin University Football Club and taking responsibility for the Men’s State League program.
“There is a fantastic opportunity here to build a strong football environment, develop players and create a clear identity in the way we want Curtin teams to play.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the playing group, working with the wider club and getting started ahead of the new season.”
The Club believes Giordan’s combination of technical coaching ability, player development experience and long-term approach makes him an excellent fit for Curtin and the direction we want to take our senior men’s program.
