Curtin University Football Club The Curtin University Football Club provides access to the world game for players of all levels.

The club caters for highly skilled and experienced players as well as beginners just starting out in the game. Men’s Women’s and Juniors all have teams with various skill levels

As well as a high level of coaching and match play the club also offers a great atmosphere for making new friends and enjoying the finer points of a Curtin University experience. The club has no restrictions and is appealing to current students, alumni, staff and community members alike

Curtin Football Club are a community club affiliated with the university, we provide football (soccer) to residents of the local community. Although football in WA does not have formal geographical catchment areas we are close by for residents of Burswood, South Perth, Como, Manning, Salter Point, Karawara, Wilson, Bentley, East Vic Park, Victoria Park, Kewdale, Shelley, Riverton, Ferndale, Cannington, Beckenham and Willetton

Curtin university had their first round of their summer league competition last night at Raphael Park.

Defending masters champions UWA started their campaign with a 5-1 win over Melville.

In the open men’s, the Greenwood Guns made their league debut with a competitive 1-1 draw against the Dingos. South Perth are on top of the league with a convincing 3-0 win over Two Left Feet.

Curtin would like to thank everyone for their great attitude and competitiveness.

South Division 1 Golden Boot | Liam Murdock ⚽️🔥

A massive congratulations to Liam Murdock of SD1 Black, who has taken home the South Division 1 Golden Boot at the Football West Awards!

Liam has had an outstanding season in front of goal, consistently finding the back of the net and proving to be a huge threat to opposition defences throughout the season.

A well-deserved individual achievement and recognition of the quality he brings to the pitch each week. We’re proud to see Liam recognised among the best in the competition!

🏆 STATE LEAGUE 1 - GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR | ALEC RADONICH 🧤

A huge congratulations to Alec Radonich on being named the 2026 Football West State League Division 1 Goalkeeper of the Year!

A fantastic individual achievement following an outstanding season between the sticks. A thoroughly deserved recognition of Alec's performances and contribution throughout the year.

Alec's parents attended the Football West Awards Night last week on Alec's behalf, with his father pictured alongside Club President Gary O'Brien .

UPDATED TRIAL DATES:

Curtin University Football Club is pleased to confirm Sebastian Jay as Reserves Head Coach and Mike Klaver as Under 18s Head Coach for the 2027 season.

Sebastian Jay | Reserves

Sebastian brings experience across junior and senior football, including Junior NPL coaching roles with Stirling Macedonia and Floreat Athena, and senior experience with Morley Windmills and Hamersley.

Seb also spent two years within Perth Glory's Men's A-League program, working with the strength and conditioning team across GPS monitoring, player data and analysis. He currently works within Kalamunda Senior High School's soccer program.

Seb has a strong background in player development and invests significant time in helping his players improve and progress.

Mike Klaver | Under 18s

Mike returns as Under 18s Head Coach for 2027, having been involved with Curtin for more than 10 years across a number of roles.

His playing background includes State League experience with Canning City, NPL experience with Cockburn City, alongside significant senior playing experience at Curtin.

Mike brings a firm and honest approach to his coaching and knows the club well. He is committed to creating a structured and disciplined environment for our Under 18s.

We're very pleased to have both Seb and Mike on board for 2027 and believe their different backgrounds and approaches will complement our senior program well.

MENS Under 18 Head Coach - Michael Klaver

We're looking for committed players who are serious about their football and want to improve.

Our focus is on providing a training environment and structure where players can develop, supported by coaches who invest time in them, provide honest feedback and help prepare them for the next level, whatever that may be.

More details about our 2027 State League program will follow in the coming months.

We're offering both Open Men's and Over 45s competitions.
