Interview PART 3 - With Zenfants Moris

Members of the Zenfants Moris dance group open up about their journeys growing up Mauritian in Australia.

Some arrived in Australia when they were young, while others were born in here in Perth. Each of them shares how being part of Zenfants Moris and learning sega has helped them reconnect with their culture, better understand their identity & form friendships.

This conversation is a powerful reminder of how culture can bring people together, no matter where they are in the world. 🇲🇺✨

(A big ‘Thank You’ to our videographer Ian-Gael)

*If any other individuals, group, or local businesses would like to be interviewed and share their story with our community, please feel free to reach out to us*

- PART 2 Interview with Zenfants Moris -

In this video, Shanaia shares her journey of coming to Australia and the challenges she faced with feeling disconnected from her cultural identity.

Like many diaspora, she experienced moments where her Mauritian identity felt lost, but instead of letting that story end there, she turned it into purpose. Through Zenfants Moris, Shanaia hopes to help rebuild that connection and create a space where culture, identity, and community can be celebrated and passed on to the next generation.

Rendez-Vous demain pour PART 3!
