Let me tell you a story, I remember standing in a key cutting shop a few years after opening Ora 24/7 Gym. We needed a coloured key because we had so many different doors & keys to manage.

We got told the price difference so I opened our banking app, looked at Malcolm and said, “We can’t afford the coloured key.”

Those few extra dollars would have pushed us into overdraft. A charge we couldn’t afford.

So we bought the silver one.

It might sound silly, but that moment stayed with us still to this day decades later. We were working every hour possible, doing everything we could to keep the gym alive, support our members & build something special. We looked at each other and made a promise: this would never happen again.

Ora wasn’t built with investors, handouts or shortcuts. It was built with hard work, sacrifice, blood & sweat. That’s why we care so much. Every improvement, every repair and every decision comes from wanting to make this place better for our members everyday, we make a choice to show up because this is our life, our home our everything. So everything we do comes from our pocket to enhance your experience.

Even today, not everything matches. Sometimes we still choose function over appearance. Biomechanics over design But what we’ve built is something far more important than matching equipment we’ve built a safe place for people to train & actually achieve their goals.

We’ve built a loyal community.

Today we can afford the coloured key. But I’ll never forget the day we couldn’t. We do everything for our people working 7 days a week to keep a high standard.

Behind the scenes is a rare moment that very few ever see and to us at Ora your not just members or coaches. Your the foundation of our community one built on loyalty & history.

From young fighter to grown man this brotherhood between these two never fades. Moments like this remind us that gyms like ours aren’t built by equipment alone they’re built by people who stay beside each other through every stage of life. 👊
