There is something incredibly special and grounded about a training environment that brings together people from completely different walks of life. Training alongside Toni and Lana on Mondays offers unique benefits that you rarely find in a standard, hyper-competitive gym setting. We go off to do our best in the workouts and then come back together to discuss life just reminds you of what is important.
Takeaways today from our chats with them is they think we are all amazing in the gym. Lana talks about Adam Carter and how majestic he looks during a workout king 🤴 Dean Hocek is a bit of a ‘potty mouth’ 🤬 like herself but the minute he’s lifting that bar, he just moves so well🏋️♂️And Adele Heal she is just so strong and fit! 👊🏻🤸🏻♀️ And everyone is just a bunch of nice people 🫂
Sometimes we get so caught up with our ego, the numbers on the scales and the weights on the bar. They help to remind everyone that fitness is ultimately about health, longevity, and quality of life. Watching them teaches us patience and to get out of our own head.
You are also without you always knowing, someone’s inspiration, and someone is watching you and looking up to you. Someone notices you turning up when you didn’t feel like it. Someone sees you getting stronger. Someone sees you encourage others. And somewhere in their head they’re thinking and they have said it out loud, I wish I could be that healthy, that active and had this kind of people around me to keep me going.
Yes come to the gym to make you stronger and fitter but don’t forget to uplift others around you too.
Because the connection, kindness and encouragement we put into a room have people coming back, come to us, and that is the the ripple effect of a great training community.
And the people you train besides? They’re the ones who remind you why you’re training in the first place.
