Bring in the New Year with all your friends and family.

We have the Olive St Band playing all the classics and once they finish we have the disco music and dancing floor ready for you to bring in the new year with loads of fun and energy.

The event will be held in the fabulous patio garden alfresco area with everyone having tables and chairs and the band will be playing under the stars.

Your $25 ticket covers the entry fee only for the venue.
Venue is Fully Licensed strictly no BYO alcohol!
Please bring your own food as there is not catering for the event.
Seating is first in best dressed.
Venue and bar opens from 6.30pm.
Band commences 7.30pm - 10pm.
Disco dance floor from 10pm -2026.

We had over 50 community members join us for our Community Day, celebrating the love of tennis and the spirit of togetherness! From fun matches to friendly conversations, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and enjoy the beautiful game we all cherish.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a huge success! Your enthusiasm and support are what make our community so special. 🌟

Farewell Derek Chadwick.

The members of the Scarborough Tennis Club lost a great friend and true sportsman to not only tennis but to all the codes he played so well with such flair, poise and control.

Derek was measured in everything he did and was admired by many and those lucky enough to have been part of his life can consider themselves fortunate to share the court and a beer with such a wonderful man.

For those that dont know - Derek joined the tennis club in the early 80's after 20 years of first grade cricket at Scarborough. At the end of his cricketing days he used to look over the at the tennis club and think that they looked like they were having more fun fun than he was so he retired from cricket and took up tennis.

For 40 plus years Derek played pennant and social tennis and it was a true family affair with his wife Jan, and son Grant also playing. More recently and for the last 15 years or so Derek was an integral part of the "Friday Crew" that hit every week with their mates and shared a beer or two or three afterwards. Derek played in his Friday Crew right up to just a few months ago.

Derek you will be missed but never forgotten. May the aura that surrounded you on the tennis court, on the cricket pitch and on the football field and in your life continue to burn bright wherever you may be.

Our sincere and heart felt condolences go out to Jan, Grant, Rebecca, Leslie and all of the Chadwick family. Rest in peace Derek ❤️

Teams: Scarborough vs. Safety Bay (div 5)

Match Summary:
In an exciting and competitive match, Scarborough Tennis Club showcased their talent and determination against Safety Bay. The singles matches featured Sam, Griffin, Tom, and Michael, with each player rising to the challenge.

Match Highlights:
 Tom displayed impressive resilience, battling through a super tiebreak against a skilled moonballer to secure a vital point.
 Griffin overcame a past rival, defeating a player he had lost to twice before, marking a significant personal victory.
 Michael managed to secure an easy win, contributing solidly to the team's overall performance.
 Sam faced a top player and put up a commendable fight, though ultimately fell short.

In the doubles matches, Sohail and Griffin sealed the team's victory with a straight sets win, adding crucial points to our overall score.

This match against Safety Bay marked a strong conclusion to our season, as we had previously lost to this team once and now celebrated a well-deserved win. Throughout the season, Scarborough remained at the top and is looking forward to an equally successful division for the summer. ☀️
