The new suburb of Willetton and “Burrendah” was growing steadily at this time and many boys who lived in the Willetton area were finding it difficult getting a game with Riverton Junior Football Club, due to the excess of numbers. WA Football Juniors would like to sincerely apologise for the technical difficulties experienced this week, which prevented the presentations from proceeding as originally scheduled. We understand the disappointment this has caused for players, families, clubs, and volunteers who were looking forward to celebrating these achievements, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through these unforeseen issues.
As a result of these changes, winners and runners-up will no longer be presented at the WA Football Juniors Grand Finals this weekend. Instead, we will hold an in-person presentation component to ensure recipients receive the recognition they deserve.
All winners and runners-up will be formally recognised and presented with their awards at the RDC Team of the Year Event, to be held at Noranda Junior Football Club on Wednesday 16 September 2026.
Further details regarding the event, including timings, attendance requirements and recipient information, will be provided to clubs shortly.
