King Of Light makes a perfect start to his spring campaign, returning in style to win the $125K Listed Idyllic Prince Stakes at Belmont Park and give William Pike his fourth winner of the day.

The Group 2 WA Guineas winner stalked the leaders before taking over in the run home, making it six wins from just seven career starts for Dan Morton.

Blue Spec Stakes Day delivered plenty of standout performances! 🏇👏

Mitchell Pateman trained a treble, while Chanel Cooper rode three winners of her own. Pat Carbery and Holly Nottle also enjoyed big days in the saddle, each riding a double.

Shaun O’Donnell claimed the Blue Spec Stakes aboard Too Dardy, who continued his winning form after taking out the Jockey Celebration Day Stakes at his previous start. 🏆

A Belmont Park favourite. 🏇💫

This Saturday, we race in honour of Idyllic Prince, the Jim Taylor-trained galloper who made the Goodwood Sprint his own, winning it four years straight from 2008 to 2011.

His final victory came in his final race, defeating none other than future Champion WA Sire Playing God. 🏆

With a career that also included Group 2 and multiple Group 3 victories, the Goodwood Sprint was renamed the Idyllic Prince Stakes in his honour in 2015.
