🏏 MATCH REPORT | ROYAL BENGALS GOLD CC vs DARK HORSES

ROYALS ARE THROUGH TO THE TOP 8! 🏆🔥

After losing the toss, Royal Bengals Gold were asked to bat first and found themselves under pressure early. Shahroz departed cheaply, while some disciplined bowling from Dark Horses kept the scoring rate firmly in check.

Rony provided the first counterattack, injecting some much-needed momentum into the innings with a positive 24 off 22 balls before being trapped in front. However, wickets continued to fall and the Royals soon found themselves in deep trouble at 47/4.

That’s when Rhid and Rubel began the rebuild, putting together an important partnership to steady the innings. After Rubel departed, skipper Swarup joined Rhid, with the pair tasked with taking the innings deep and giving the bowlers something to defend.

And Rhid delivered when it mattered most. He shifted gears brilliantly at the back end of the innings, taking the attack to Dark Horses as the Royals plundered 55 runs from the final six overs. Well supported by Swarup, Rhid carried his bat for a superb 57 off 50 balls*, helping the Royals recover to 133/6 from 20 overs — a total that looked very defendable on the ground.

Dark Horses started the chase aggressively and threatened to take control before Haris produced a fiery bouncer to remove the danger man and give the Royals the breakthrough they desperately needed.

From there, it was time for the spin duo to take over. Rubel and Tawnid once again produced a middle-overs masterclass, squeezing the scoring rate and forcing the batters into mistakes. Rubel was simply outstanding, delivering a magical spell of 4 overs, 2/11, while Tawnid backed him up superbly with 2/25 from his four.

Fahim and Shahroz also delivered crucial tight overs, ensuring Dark Horses were never able to rebuild their momentum.

With the game still requiring composure at the death, Haris and Abhi were exceptional under pressure, executing their plans brilliantly and shutting the door on any late comeback.

Dark Horses were restricted to 110/7, sealing a convincing 23-run victory for Royal Bengals Gold.

From 47/4 to 133/6, and then defending it under knockout pressure — this was a win built on resilience, composure and another outstanding team bowling performance.

Blues Won by 68 runs against PBC.

We batted first and Liam gave us an explosive start, scoring 38 off just 12 balls. After his departure, Gareth and Saif continued with a sensible partnership. Saif played a calm and composed innings of 27 off 24, before Arnob joined Gareth and supported him brilliantly from the other end.

Once Gareth settled in, he showed his class as usual, playing a magnificent innings of 77 off 49 balls. Gareth and Arnob put together a superb 96-run partnership, helping us reach 194/4 — the highest total in this competition so far.

With the ball, Shahrukh and Liam gave us the perfect start, both picking up an opener and bowling exceptionally well in the powerplay. Mitesh and Sumit bowled some very decent overs in the middle. Forhad then got their main man, Arman, with an excellent wrong’un, followed by a sharp stumping from Arnob.

A special mention to Saif, who took an absolute blinder at point — surely one of the best catches in Blues history!

A fantastic way to finish the group stage.

For the first time, Blues will play in the 2nd Tier Knockout of the Subcup — an excellent achievement for the team. Well done to everyone! Really appreciate your commitment, dedication and hard work throughout the group stage.

Now, let’s get ready for the knockout!
Practice time and date will be announced soon.

Let’s keep pushing, Blues!

🏏 MATCH REPORT | ROYAL BENGALS GOLD CC vs MEULEMANS CC

Royal Bengals Gold CC continued their strong run with another impressive team performance, defeating Meulemans CC by 5 wickets in the SUB CUP 2026.

Meulemans came out firing, racing to 40 runs inside the four-over powerplay and putting the Gold attack under immediate pressure. But once again, it was the spin trio of Tawnid, Rubel and Fahim who completely changed the complexion of the game.

Against a batting line-up featuring top-class players of spin, the trio produced an outstanding display of control, variation and discipline. Tawnid delivered one of the spells of the tournament — and arguably one of the finest spells seen in the competition in years — finishing with an extraordinary 3/8 from four overs. Rubel was equally influential with 2/16 from four, while Fahim squeezed the life out of the innings with 1/11 from four.

From 40 in the first four overs, Meulemans were restricted to just 109/7 from their 20 overs — conceding only 69 runs across the remaining 16 overs. It was another remarkable turnaround engineered by the Gold spin attack.

The chase, however, began with an immediate setback as Shahroz fell first ball. Young Shadman showed tremendous composure, refusing to allow the early wicket to disrupt the chase. He combined brilliantly with Rony, and together they rebuilt the innings and brought the Golds firmly back into control.

Rony looked in excellent touch during his 32 from 29 balls before eventually skying one, bringing Rhid to the crease. Rhid then joined Shadman, who made a composed 26 from 33, as the pair negotiated a high-quality Sri Lankan spin attack and took Royal Bengals to within touching distance of victory.

There was a small blip towards the finish, but there was no panic. Rubel, Haris and Abhi remained calm under pressure and completed the chase comfortably, taking Royal Bengals Gold to 115/5 in 18.1 overs.

Royal Bengals Gold CC won by 5 wickets. 🏆

Another victory built on character and adaptability — absorbing an explosive start, turning the match through spin, recovering from a first-ball wicket and staying composed when the pressure returned late in the chase.

Royal Bengals Gold CC delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat Markhors by 73 runs in the SUB CUP 2026.

Batting first, the Golds posted an imposing 176/7 from 20 overs, built around a superb innings from Rony, who struck 76 from 52 balls. The foundation was laid through some vital partnerships at the top, with Shadman contributing 25 from 21 and combining well with Rony to establish the innings. Rony then continued to control proceedings alongside Rhid, with the pair putting together a crucial 65-run partnership that gave the Golds the platform for a strong total. Rubel’s quick 19 from 11 balls added valuable late momentum.

With 176 on the board, Markhors got off to a flying start before Golds’ spin attack took complete control. Rubel and Tawnid turned the game decisively in Royal Bengals’ favour, applying relentless pressure through the middle overs. Rubel was outstanding, returning 3/11 from his four overs, while Tawnid was equally economical, conceding just 10 runs from four overs and picking up a wicket. Their combined figures of 8 overs, 21 runs and 4 wickets effectively took the game away from Markhors. Haris also made an important contribution with 2/24 from four overs.

Markhors were eventually dismissed for 103 in 18.2 overs, completing a dominant 73-run victory for Royal Bengals Gold CC.

A complete team performance — strong partnerships with the bat, disciplined bowling, and a brilliant display of spin from Rubel and Tawnid. 🏏🏆

Royal Bengals Green goes 3 in 3 to take one step closer to the knockout round in their debut season!

Won the toss and decided to field first. Our opening bowlers, Uddhav and Bishal, bowled brilliantly in the powerplay, restricting the opposition to just 16/2 and putting us on the front foot early. The rest of the bowling attack continued the pressure, while the fielders worked extremely hard throughout the innings and managed to restrict the opposition to 139 runs.

Chasing 140, our openers Sufyan and Rohan got us off to a fantastic start, scoring 33 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay. Their partnership continued strongly, reaching 55 runs in the first 8 overs, which set up the chase perfectly.

After losing the first two wickets, Nipun and Ashraf once again batted brilliantly and kept the chase under control. Then Jeri came in and finished the game, smashing 18 runs off just 6 balls to seal the victory in the 17th over.

An amazing all-round team performance today. Everyone contributed with the ball, bat and in the field.

Three wins in a row — let’s keep the momentum going, boys! 👏 👏
