I have played this great game for around 30 years, last year I played at State league and State League reserves level but this season taking a step back to help develop the younger players. I’ve coached senior teams for a couple of years, Teeball, Machine Pitch, LL, I was an assistant coach for State Teeball, LL Charter for the WA state championships for 2 years in a row and went over east last year for the Australian LL Championship, WA ALLSTARS silver medal from the Rockingham tournament.

I’m a passionate coach in the sense that I strive on seeing young players enjoy the game, use their skills, have the hunger and dedication to want to put in the work to develop them too, to take their game to the next level, as this is a team sport it will take all the players to play their role for the team.

In development teams, the goal is to improve and get better with each training session and game. Winning the game is a bonus, winning it all is even better. I’ve done my job if these players are coming away from training or games, a better ball player. My goal for this age group is to help the players develop from boys to young men. 14 year olds are getting to that age where they start to understand what kind of player they want to be on and off the diamond; they start to become leaders, understand their role in a team, and play with a ‘team comes first’ mentality. My goal as coach is to help them understand that. I’ve been fortunate enough to coach and play in many grand finals of all levels; State Championships in Perth 2020-23, National Championships 2021, and WA ALLSTARS 12U 2024. I’m hoping after a good WA ALLSTARS 12U campaign last year, to follow up with the 14U and give it a crack at winning it all.

I’ve been involved in baseball since the age of seven and grew up in Texas, where I had the privilege of receiving top-tier coaching from former MLB players Ron Jones and Charlie Hayes, both World Series champions who helped shape my understanding of the game.

Throughout my playing career, I’ve competed on travel and international teams, including in Puerto Rico and at the SEABYST Tournament in 2008. I currently play State League and Reserves for South Perth while also coaching the Big League team.

My coaching experience includes leading two teams at the Down Under Classic on the Gold Coast, coaching the 14U team in Singapore to a 3rd place finish, and coaching my team to 2nd place at the most recent Rockingham tournament.

In my coaching I like to place equal emphasis on developing both the physical and mental aspects of the game, helping players build skill, confidence, and a genuine love for the game of baseball.

I’ve played baseball now nearly 10 years in my playing career and still play to this day. I’ve coached teeball, junior baseball, and have been apart of our charter baseball in Australia. This is my second year with the WA ALLSTARS and loving every minute. We were successful in Singapore tournament last year coming home with the silver medal for 14U, then to win it here at our Perth tournament was pretty sweet. Though I’m only early in to my coaching career I thoroughly enjoy passing on my knowledge and skills to develop our young talent coming through our system.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Singapore 2026

I’ve been coaching for 30+ years of juniors, seniors, and women’s baseball. I’ve also been involved with international tournaments for 19 years, all over Asia. I’ve also coached at a club level in Perth at Vic Park Baseball Club, South Perth Baseball Club, and Curtin Baseball Club. I have been part of many championships, including; State Women’s Baseball 2010 and 2012, and 7 championships with Seaybst (Perth Allstars). I’ve also been involved with many high performance programs, and my patient is to teach ball players how to play the game I love, the right way. With all the knowledge I’ve gained from coaching, I hope to pass it on.
