📢 JDL Coaching Announcement | 2027

Olympic Kingsway is proud to announce three of our U13–U16 Junior Development League (JDL) coaches for the 2027 season.

Marc Wingell, Jamie D’Arcy and Fernando Barreiro bring a wealth of experience across junior development, elite youth pathways and senior football as we continue to strengthen our Junior Academy Plan.

Technical Director Richard Garcia welcomed the appointments, highlighting the importance of developing young players and creating pathways into senior football.

“We are delighted with the continued growth of our Junior Academy Plan and bringing in quality coaches with experience in the game is another step in that plan.

The knowledge that our coaches will be able to pass on to our young players will help in their development toward progressing into our senior ranks and beyond.

All the coaches are aligned with the club’s values and vision for player development and understand the importance of nurturing and moulding players into the next phase of their journey.”

We look forward to seeing Marc, Jamie and Fernando contribute to the continued development of the next generation of Green Machine talent. 💚

𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 💚🟢💚

Olympic Kingsway are delighted to announce Callum Salmon has been appointed Senior Coach of the Green Machine for the next two years.

Salmon, an NPL Championship coach replaces Neil Kilkenny who was told by Football West last week he held a conflict of interest in his dual role as FW development officer and Kingsway.

“Callum is an exceptional coach and leader”, Olympic Kingsway President Steven Nelkovski said.

“Callum has an exceptional record of winning trophies while also developing young talent.

Salmon said:

“I’m very proud and excited to join Olympic Kingsway for the next two seasons.”

“It’s no secret Olympic have been hugely successful since being promoted into the NPL and their significant achievements on and off the field are admired by every club in WA.

“When I received the offer from Olympic and weighed up what my future looked like and where I could coach next it was an easy decision to make although a very difficult and emotional step to leave Redstar after the last seven years.

“I can’t wait to get started.

“Kingsway have many excellent players, top quality staff and a club that we will work hard to win more leagues and trophies in the seasons to come.
